The morning is especially beautiful today, being without pain and not requiring pain medicine allows me to see his creation in a new light! 67 degrees with a chilly breeze, the sky is amazing, it is filled with cotton ball clouds! As I sit here my head tilted toward the heavens, my mind filled with thoughts of our Father in Heaven , watching as the clouds float slowly by, ever changing shape and size, tears fill my eyes at the wonderment of blessings that we are given! Blessings that we take for granted, blessings we do not even realize are blessings! Pretty deep stuff I tell you!!!!
In prayer this morning, sitting..chatting with God, I was thanking him for the beauty around me, for the sky, the clouds, the trees, the smells...etc. When I realized that my interpretation of what I see is much different that what you might be seeing, he not only creates things that are pleasing to my tastes but he also creates things that are pleasing to everyone depending on what is important to them. Just because I love the "cotton ball" skies, does not make it so for everyone, some may love clear skies the best, some may love the dark rolling clouds...Just because I love the sway of the tree branches that appear to dance with the rhythm of the wind, does not mean it is so for all, just as I love the song of the bird, the more birds the better, some find it annoying! The wonderful things about us is our differences, it would be a boring place if we all loved the same thing, a lot easier for God for he would only have to work on one picture, one wind, one chorus of birds, one of everything...but NOT, he works on special gifts for us according to our likes! WOW, what an overwhelming thought! In the bible, the book of Luke chapter 12, verse 7 it tells us:
Luke 12:7
7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.This passage is talking about the Pharisees and their hypocrisy. Jesus is making a point of our worth. Our Creator knows each and every one of us so well that he knows the number of hairs on our heads. Which means he knows what we say and what we do when we think others aren't watching. Our God cares.
Thinking of my earthly father, he knew me, of course he did! He raised me from the age of 4 until his death, he basically knew my likes and dislikes, he probably knew my favorite color, my favorite food, my type of music, things that made me angry, happy, sad,...etc. And he had a heavy chore as there were seven of us in the family that he had to try and keep up with..that being noted, think about all of God's children and he knows the count of every hair on our heads?? He knows every thought we have, every deed we do...etc. and he continues to bless each and every one of us with our needs on a daily basis! Pretty awesome wouldn't you say?
Today I pray that in giving thanks to him you keep this in mind, he knows your specific needs, he knows your hearts desires, he has carefully written a book with only your name in it and is willing you to be obedient, is willing for you to live as he has taught so that you will one day join him and stand by his side to view the story in full, to understand the good and the bad, to have knowledge, true knowledge of what it was all for here on earth! Today I pray that given this, that you understand how important YOU are, how loved YOU are, if you were not would he have given his only son? Would he have watched his son suffer in your name, would he have allowed such pain and abuse to his own so that you could have eternal life? I am on bended knees now, tears in my eyes, praising him for all he is to me, lifting my heart to him for all that he does for me and loving him above all others for being my father and my friend! God bless you all with understanding of his size, of his power, of his love!!!!! May each of you take time today to thank him for HIM! I love you!
