happy Tuesday night, woo hoo Biggest Loser night! The question for me is Did I Win??? or Did I Lose???
I was a bit hesitant after all of the halloween candy, yes I am a sucker for a sucker, and chocolate, and skittles and chocolate and did I say chocolate.... LOL, Although I did "cheat" this week I have somehow managed to drop more pounds...
So to date I am proud to say I have lost 19 lbs, not even a good dent in the bucket as for what I have to lose but 19 is 19 and it is 19 less that I have to go!
(patting myself on the back)
I ask you to come and pray with me tonight, I still am asking for prayer for the lady I told you about who is struggling so with the battle of cancer, along with the young man that I asked prayer for battling the same. Please join me in asking our Father in Heaven to lay his healing hands upon these two and all who are struggling with health issues, bring calm to their hearts with the knowledge that no matter what they are going through, they are never for one moment alone, their fears are understood and He is there to provide for them all of their needs if they just let their worries, their fears, their pain go over to him. His will be done with each of you, keep your eye on the sparrow my friends and let him bring you out of the darkness and into the light!
Tonight I leave you with one of my favorite poems, I read it most every night as I lay down to sleep, well as many times as it has been read, it is mainly recited now. it seems to always bring peace to me!
Peaceful Sleep
[© 2009 Tom D Blakely]
~
O sleep, you are a luxury
To think that once you were a dread!
There are no words which can convey
My love for Christ who guards my bed.
~
The demons that gave me no peace
Arraigned against me night and day!
But Jesus brings such sweet release
Through prayer He casts them all away.
~
For never in my wildest dreams
Days of flashbacks; horrendous things,
Mistrust and bitter were my feelings,
Falling for Satan’s shrouded schemes.
~
People caused me the greatest fear
People far and people near.
The dead, the living; mixed unclear
Day and night they would appear!
~
No, never in my wildest dreams
Plagued by hell’s spirits with no cure,
Could I have thought of such a change
Wrought by Jesus; held so secure.
~
Faithless me, but faithful He
To seek His lost and injured sheep.
According to God’s Holy Word
Those that God gave the Lord, He’ll keep.
~
And as I lay my head to sleep
I bear God’s children up in prayer.
No fear, no nightmares of the deep
My love for Christ, my only care.
~
~
‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’
[John 14:27]
