Why Jesus Is Better Than Santa Clause

Good evening, it is 33 degrees with a real feel of 26 this evening, there is a bit of a chill in the house I am guessing I will have to turn the heater up a bit, I do not like when my bones are chilled..ugh...I pray that you day has been a blessed one, that you are enjoying this Saturday evening.
In prayer this evening, as I got on bended knees, I asked God to bless each of you with love and joy in your hearts. I asked God to comfort those in need of warmth and understanding, I asked him to give peace in heart for those who are struggling with issues that seem to be unsolvable, I asked him to give calm to those who are sitting this eve, with fear and stress, I asked God to take this from them and allow them rest. I prayed for a special friend who had a brain aneurysm, who came through surgery, has mended well, is home and trying to get back to normal, and now is suffering a really bad cold, God touch her immune system and wax it strong to be able to fight off all the little bacteria and germs that are trying to drag her back down. I prayed for a facebook friend who's niece is struggling watching her grandmother suffer in the hospital, Father if it be your will bring her back to health and make her strong. I prayed for all of those fervently praying for friends and family asking God to bless the loved ones in whatever it is they are going through, to give them mercy and his great grace. I sealed my prayer up and lifted it to our savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

I love the following story and hope that you will take time to share it with  your Children this season so that they might realize the differences between our Lord Jesus Christ and Santa Clause, also please never forget the reason for this season. Let us put CHRIST in all that we do for the CHRISTmas season.

Why Jesus is Better Than Santa Claus

Santa lives at the North Pole...
     JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year...
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies...
     JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.

You have to wait in line to see Santa...
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"...
JESUS knew our name before we were born.  Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly...
JESUS has a heart full of love

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

Santa's little helpers make toys...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree...
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree...the cross.

We need to put Christ back in CHRISTmas, Jesus is still the reason for the season.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

Would you like to know Jesus?

You can have peace and find hope and know forgiveness through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer. Praying is simply talking to God. God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. Here's a suggested prayer:

Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to You and ask You to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Bring peace to my world this Christmas. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, pray it right now and Christ will come into your life as He promised. If you invited Jesus Christ into your life, thank God often that He is in your life, that He will never leave you and that you have eternal life.

Catina, you are so sweet and your words so kind. Know that we are asking God to take your sweet niece into his loving arms and hold her, gently whispering the words of guidance that she needs to hear. Allow her to see the truths of what you have promised and what she has known all of her life. This is not a deed that will take her grandmother away forever, only for a short time..her body will be healed and there will be no pain nor suffering, She will walk along the golden path and stand by your side, her wings swaying to and fro. She will prepare a place for those who come after her and she will be Home with the ones who have gone before her. God we love you and really need your intervention in this matter, there is so much emotion and heartbreak that what needs to be done is being shadowed, open the veil Father and let her peek in at what is waiting for this kind woman. I ask mercy, grace and knowledge in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Father I come to you "on bended knees" praying and ask you to place hands on the baby with the intestinal problems who family and friends are asking for special specific prayer, father hold each of them in your arms stilling their fears and calming their sadness. Lay your hands on this sweet angels body and allow her to use your strength as her own. Father if it be your will allow the surgeons to work with skill repairing the problems that are inside. Father if it be your will to call this angel home please do not allow her to suffer, take her in your arms and walk her beyond the veil where there is no pain. Father we depend upon you for everything and we know that your will be done. Please hold this family in your comforting arms and allow them peace in heart. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
