Good evening, I am filled with cheers of thanks giving this evening, the winds have subsided and we sustained no damage. Our neighboring county was hit really hard and will be a long time in clean up. Many trees we literally ripped out of the ground, fences down, debris everywhere! Please pray for them that the clean up is all that is needed and there is no harm nor foul to any person nor animal.
So many prayer request have been made today, it seems there is so much illness. I ask you to pray with us for the man just finding out his cancer has returned who will be going through stronger chemo treatments; for the husband, father and friend to so many in my home county, who suffered a stroke this afternoon, for the family of a 54 year old lady who laid down to nap and did not wake up, for the mom who is struggling with fluid in her lungs feeling week and out of courage, for all who are struggling with heartbreak this evening. I also posted a special prayer for the family in Bay City, Texas this morning, for family an friends to those tragically shot. According to www.newser.com, the remaining 2 children passed during the day and the mom was transported to Houston but no condition update was given. All loss is tragic, we must cling to our faith and acknowledge that we accept God's will, we must pray for understanding above all else and stand solid in our faith and stand on His promises. I am so honored that so many come and ask us for prayer, we stand at the ready to pray with/for you always..I asked mercy and favor for each of you, we each are in need of prayer, our problems very specific to our problems, but still very much like so many others. I asked God to allow each of us to come to him, sit upon his lap as we did our earthly fathers when we were but small children in need of scaring boogie monsters away, having boo-boo's kissed, needing just to know we were loved. Father watch over my family and friends, be a shield of protection to all and most of all allow us sense of your presence in our every step. I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Below you will see a selection of Bible verses on prayer:
Prayer is Effective
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him" (1 John 5:14-15).
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
"…The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective" (James 5:16).
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:18).
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express" (Romans 8:26).
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
"When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures" (James 4:3).
The Teachings of Jesus
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him" (Matthew 6:5-8).
"To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: 'Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: "God, I thank you that I am not like other men-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get." But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, "God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted"'" (Luke 18:9-14).
"'Have faith in God,' Jesus answered. 'I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins'" (Mark 11:22-25).
"And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it" (John 14:13-14).

The last two days sure has been hard on our family. We really could use some prayers. R.I.P. Scott Frazer 11-30-11. You will always be loved and dearly missed....
Father we come to you ~~on bended knees~~ asking that you hold this family in your arms and allow them to weep against your chest, allow them to use your robes to warm themselves both inside and out and to feel your heartbeat and allow it to be your strength as they go through this heartbreak of loss! Keep them filled with peace, calm, and comfort an allow them knowledge that this is not "goodbye" to Scott, it is merely "until we meet again" Scott has earned has been greeted at the gate by all of those so eagerly waiting to welcome him with open arms, hugs and an abundance of love. He has earned his wings and is now standing your side Father in Heaven, receiving praise for the good he did here on earth. I ask these mercies, these graces and these comforts in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen!
I feel so overwhelmed...I am estranged from my family through my own fault. I have lied to them and taken money from them because I have always felt that they are much better off than me (really that they could afford it). Now I am facing a medical crisis alone and would love to have someone to lean on.
I know in my heart that I haven't changed and would probably end up hurting tham again, but I would really love to have my family's arms around me right now.
I am sorry you are going through all of the things you are going through. We have all made mistakes at one time or another in our lives and it is a good thing that you take responsibility for doing the things that you have. The only way of healing this is by showing them that you have changed, if you confess to yourself that you have not and that you would wind up doing the same things again it is time for you to take a long look at you and make decisions in your life. If we continue to do things in life that we know are wrong, how can we expect God to shower blessings upon us! I pray that you will begin to heal internally. I pray that one day you will have a healthy, loving relationship with your family and I pray that your family will have the ability to forgive you and welcome you back into the fold. God bless you in the surgical procedure and may you heal quickly and completely! Love in Christ to you.
