God is watching you and will continue until he sees his image in you...WOW!!!!

Good evening and happy Monday evening, I pray that your day has been a great one, and if it has not been so good...rest in the knowledge that you will never have to go through March 5, 2012 again. There is always a silver lining:)

In prayer this evening I bowed my head and thanked God for all of the blessings in my life, I thanked him for allowing me to find the story I am including below and for allowing me to be that bit of silver that he is sitting and refining. I asked him to continue to be with all of those who are facing the realities of all that the storms have stripped from them, I asked him to bless them with comfort and calm, and with knowledge that he will be with them in every step they take and in all that they must go through to get back on their feel. I asked him to continue to comfort those who have lost loved ones that they might find peace in their hearts and know that they will be reunited one day with those who are gone. I asked God to continue to bless my friend Star who is healing and mending each day. I asked for blessing to be laid upon my friend who has broken her back and leg in an accident, for my friend who has lost her job, for my friends who are struggling to make it from one day to another and for each of you. I asked God to provide each of us with peace in our hearts so that we might have compassion and caring for others, for calm in our minds so that we might always try to choose the right and follow what we know is good, for comfort in our bodies so that we might walk without pain and for an abundance of love so that we might never turn away from him. I asked all of theses mercies and favors in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

All I can say is that I love, love, love this story...let me know what you think!!!

Refiner and Purifier

Malachi 3:3 says: 'He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver...'

This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God ...

One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining Silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: ' He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.'

She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time.

The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, 'How do you know when the silver is fully refined?'

He smiled at her and answered, ' Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it.'

If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

This very moment, someone needs to know that God is watching over them. And, whatever they're going through, they'll be a better person in the end.
