May you live a life that makes God smile

Good morning to all, I pray your day has started out with a bang and that the entire day is filled with only good things for you and yours. It is a very warm, windy morning here with all kind of nice allergens in the air, I can see it blowing around and with each gust I sneeze, should be an interesting day for me...

In prayer this morning I again thanked God for being in my life, for watching over me and for loving me like only He can. I thanked Him for another night of safety and asked Him to be with me the entire day through. I thanked Him for allowing me another day to praise His name and be joyful. I asked Him to take special care of you today, to fill your hearts with compassion, love, and kindness. I asked Him to take care of your needs and to allow you to feel His abundant love for you. Please pray with me for a sweet friend who is suffering some pretty bad kidney issues, she is awaiting test results to see what the next move will be, let us pray that the issue is resolved by God's hands and that the test show nothing more than an infection that has cleared itself. I ask you to pray for those you know are in need and to stand on God's promise and believe that He will answer your prayers and provide for them. For all of those suffering illness and disease I ask for healing and good feeling! Love to each of you in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wow if we could all be like George Bailey would life not be grand? Lets take this day to be kind, to be helpful, to be loving and to be giving...Let us not think about the next dollar but what we can do to make someone else's life happy....

A Few More George Bailey’s

Sometimes blessings come wrapped in strange packages. I got one today when a fiber optic cable somewhere got cut accidentally. This caused my cable to be out for most of the day and sent me to my dusty old collection of DVD’s to find something to watch as I cleaned up the house. The one I found myself pulling out was the old Christmas classic, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE.  At first it seemed strange watching this movie in the middle of Spring but after a while I found myself putting the chores aside and sitting down to enjoy it once again. 

The powerful story of George Bailey, a common man who spent his life helping others touched my heart. George’s kindness and character helped me to see again just what it means to live a good life in this world. Mr. Potter’s meanness and greed on the other hand reflected all that is wrong with our society today. I found myself aching with George as he saw how terrible the world would be without him. I found myself praying along with him as he asked God to please let him live again. I found myself laughing and cheering too as the movie came to its beautiful ending. I even found myself singing along in its last minutes as George was surrounded by his family and friends in a room overflowing with love and joy. 

This blessing of a movie made me think that this world could use a few more George Bailey’s and a lot less Mr. Potter’s in it. This world needs to see again that people are more important than profits, that kindness is more valuable than cash, that friends and family mean more than stocks and bonds, and that goodness and love are the greatest riches of all.
