Spiritually speaking, by ourselves we are vastly limited in our capabilities....

Good morning and happy Monday to you! I pray this Monday morning is off to a great start for you and that you and yours are filled with joy and laughter...I have been up since before 5, I declare this cough is going to get the best of me yet! I don't cough at all during the day but let me lay my head down at night and the fight is on, I am afraid it is winning the battle one night at a time:(

In prayer this morning I lifted each of you, asking God to see your needs and to make provision..I asked him to provide for you peace when you are in chaos, calm when you are in battle, and comfort when you are in pain. I asked him to take extra time with you today, allowing you the opportunity to see all that he has done in your life, remember that in order for us to see the rainbow we have to have a little rain...I have to tell myself that often, I sometimes get so caught up in the storm that I forget what happens after, and YES it always happens, the clouds clear and the beautiful blue skies emerge! I think I get so caught up in the moment in my life that I forget that as long as I have God I have an answer....HE is there for each of us, 24/7, all we have to do is reach out our hand, open our heart, and let him work through us...is your hand outstretched this morning? If it isn't, stop what you are doing and welcome him in right this very moment, don't go another nano~second without letting him know you are reaching out to him.

In keeping up with our kindness and compassion month I want to share a story I read this morning that got me deep down in my heart, I love the fact that I ask God to guide me to a worthy read and always, Always, ALways...HE does, enjoy, allow your heart to soften and do something really really nice for someone today!!! I promise the goodness you feel from it will have been worth any effort that you exerted!!!!

"ACTS OF KINDNESS"… 

IT IS SAID THAT ABRAHAM WAS THE MOST KIND AND GENEROUS PERSON THAT HAS EVER WALKED THIS EARTH. STILL, THE PATH WAS NEVER EASY FOR HIM. IN HIS LIFE, HE WENT THROUGH MANY TRIALS. 

THERE WERE TIMES WHEN HE PRACTICALLY HAD NO REST, AND HE WAS CONSTANTLY MOVING FROM PLACE TO PLACE. NEVERTHELESS, HE WAS A MAN OF ACTION—A DOER. 

EVEN IN THE HEAT OF THE DAY WHEN HE WAS ONCE EXPERIENCING EXCRUCIATING PHYSICAL PAIN, HE WAS STILL WAITING FOR PEOPLE TO WELCOME INTO HIS HOME SO HE COULD DO ACTS OF KINDNESS FOR THEM.

THERE IS SO MUCH ENERGY IN THIS UNIVERSE, SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR SPIRITUAL FRUITS: BLESSINGS, HAPPINESS, LOVE, AND TRANSFORMATION. HOWEVER, THIS ENERGY CANNOT BE INITIATED IN THIS PHYSICAL WORLD WITHOUT THE ASPECT OF SHARING.

SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING, BY OURSELVES WE ARE VASTLY LIMITED IN OUR CAPABILITIES. SURE, WE CAN SURVIVE ON OUR OWN, BUT WE CANNOT ACHIEVE REAL FULFILLMENT AND “BEAR FRUIT” WITHOUT OTHERS. 

THIS IS BECAUSE FULFILLMENT DOESN’T COME FROM FEEDING THE SMALL DESIRES OF “ME” ALONE, BUT RATHER FROM REVERSING OUR ENERGY FROM TAKING TO GIVING.

TRUE STORY

A MAN WHO STOPPED TO HELP TWO WOMEN WHOSE CAR HAD A FLAT TIRE ON A REMOTE WISCONSIN HIGHWAY. JUST MINUTES AFTER THIS GOOD SAMARITAN GOT BACK INTO HIS CAR AND CONTINUED DRIVING, HE STARTED TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK.

ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, THE WOMEN WHOM HE HAD JUST HELPED WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER, PERFORM CPR, AND SAVE HIS LIFE. HAD THIS MAN NOT STOPPED TO ASSIST WITH THEIR TIRE, IT IS UNLIKELY THAT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN ANYONE ON THE ROAD TO HELP HIM. 

BASICALLY, BECAUSE HE WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP TWO STRANGERS, HIS LIFE WAS SAVED. THIS INCREDIBLE STORY CLEARLY SHOWS US THE VALUE OF ACTS OF KINDNESS AND THE SPIRITUAL POWER OF SHARING. WE NEVER KNOW THE RAMIFICATIONS OF EVEN THE SMALLEST ACTIONS WE TAKE.

WHEN WE ARE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER THAN OURSELVES OR WHEN WE INJECT SHARING INTO OUR DAILY ACTIONS, WE CAN ACTUALLY RISE ABOVE THE THINGS THAT HOLD US DOWN: HEAVINESS, DEPRESSION, PROCRASTINATION, ANGER, AND EVEN—AS IN THE CASE OF OUR MODERN-DAY GOOD SAMARITAN—DEATH. 

ACTS OF KINDNESS IS OUR UMBILICAL CORD TO LIFE. THE UNITY WE CREATE WITH OTHERS IS WHAT ACTIVATES THE UNIVERSE AND PRODUCES THE “FRUIT” AND BLESSINGS IN OUR LIVES.

LET’S ALL FIND WAYS TO INJECT ACTS OF KINDNESS INTO EVEN OUR SMALLEST ACTIONS. WE MUST NEVER FORGET THAT THE LIGHT WILL PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITIES IF WE ARE OPEN TO THEM.
