Learn what they live
If a child lives with criticism,
he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility,
he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule,
he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame,
he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance,
he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement,
he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise,
he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness,
he learns justice.
If a child lives with security,
he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
he learns to find love in the world.
It is just such a wonderful thing for me to have my "grandbabies" even though they are not blood grandbabies I could not love them more if they were. I am so very thankful to my young friends who have allowed me to be "MIMI" to all of them. We have to be very aware of how we are raising them, we must be mindful at all times, what we say, how we act, and at the attention and care that we give them. I pray that my actions and my love for them will reflect the bottom half of the upper writings, I pray that I always will be tolerant, encouraging, be swift in praising them, be fair in my doings, make them feel safe and secure, give them approval in their feats and be an example of a true friend, so that they will flourish and be all that they can be in their lives.
