As another week comes quickly to an end, it seems the days are just flying by! It is already way into 2011 and I have no clue as to where this year has gone! It seems the older I get the faster the days go by, the shorter the days seems and the more I have on my bucket list. Overwhelming??? No, not at all, I am very pleased with my life to this point, I would have to say the one constant in my life has been my Father in heaven, my savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit...no matter where I have gone, what I have done or how I have done it, the spirit has always been with me, there were many times I chose not to acknowledge his presence, many times I went places that he refused to enter, he was always there. When I finally decided to allow him to be with me in all that I do, when I decided that his lead was much better than my own...well that was when I really and truly began to have the gospel within me!
Today I would love to hear your story, I would love to know when the gospel was planted inside of you and I would love to hear about something that has happened in your life that made you the Christian you are! If you would rather it be anonymous, I perfectly understand. God bless you for sharing with us and may your story touch the heart of someone who is seeking but has not yet felt the power to find! ReplyDeleteWell Dawn.... I've always been raised to "believe"! Funny as a child and young adult I really didn't think about it! As I grew older, had a child, got divorced when he was just 6, couldn't find a job that would pay a single mother enough, bankrupted, had bad relationships and knew I needed to keep my child 1st and foremost, after seeing the hurt my child went through-tough times-mom and dad arguing-new relationships in both parents lifes, being bullied by piers in school, learning issues and more... ~ We survived!!! I can't say I've ever done anything perfectly right in my life-but I do know we wouldn't have survived without the power of "God"... Now, I find myself questioning my life again... I wish I could feel "the calm" and see the silver lining... You totally inspire me-I pray and read self help books and really do believe again it will all work out, but I can't seem to get out of this deep dark place... I read your blog daily and pray! I know God is good and peace in my life will happen agian-but I want to Thank you for the gift you are! God works miracles and I know mine is coming... I do believe-but we all have to reach that point sometimes to keep our belief... There's so many worse-I do thank God for the blessings I have!

I am so very touched by your comment, you made me have tears in my eyes and an abundance of love in my heart in reading your kind words. I too have been in the darkness, many days I wake up and can not seem to see through it for just that split second, before my feet ever touch the floor I begin to pray, I ask him just to give me strength to get up and make it to the bathroom, then I pray for strength to make it through the morning, in my life I have to take baby steps! God is amazing and the only thing that has kept me going, I divorced when my daughter was only 2 years old and although I made it through, we struggled much of it. I have made really poor choices in partners, I have made lots and lots of mistakes, but because I do have a strong faith, he has kept me afloat, not as above the water as I would like to have but above at any height is better than below. I will lift you in prayer that he will allow you to make some sense of reason, that he will hug you with his warmth in allowing you to know you have been faced with adversity but have come through with flying colors, for strength to keep on mucking through the mess and to know that the pasture on the other side is filled with beautiful flowers, sweet smells, birds singing and peace! You are getting there my friend, just a little later than some, I will see you on the other side and we will throw our hands in the air like excited cheerleaders and we will shout loud and proud that we have made it...Don't ever let satan get to you,...you are on the home stretch my sister in Christ!!! He never said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it:) I love you!!!!
