pray with me please so many are in need!

 

 Happy Labor Day everyone, as many of you know I only sleep about 5 hours each night, I never have been one to sleep much, this morning I woke up at 8:20 after falling asleep on the couch before midnight, may body does not know what to think and I feel groggy and lazy now! I guess I needed the rest or I would not have slept for so long! The temperature is 64 degrees this morning, the sky a pale blue with crowded cotton ball and mucky gray clouds marching toward us, we are not forecast for rain but it sure looks like we could get some. There is not wind to speak of so it is very very still out!
     In prayer this morning, I was intently praying for all of Texas, the drought has now allowed the lands to be flammable and so many areas are burning out of control, many have lost their homes and all of their belongings and are left wondering what is next for them, many are packed and ready for evacuation if the call should come! The firefighters are working tirelessly to control the massive fires with far to little manpower and much to much fire! Family and friends have been awake long hours worrying and wondering if their loved ones are fairing well through the mess of if they too have lost their belongings. I would love it if we all could get "on bended knees" and pray together, if we could all take up hands and let the spirit of our Father in Heaven fill our bodies and our minds with hope. Let us pray with faith that in the name of Jesus Christ the fires will lay down and smolder out, that the heavens will open and rain, beautiful rain will fall upon the land and begin to heal its charred dry soil, and awaken its thirsty trees, grass, and gardens! Father God we call upon you now as a huge faithfilled group that you will bring us through this time, and deliver us from harm, that you will be a shield of protection for the firefighters, that you will save homes from sure destruction and above all that you will lift those in harms way up above the fires and gently deliver them to safety. We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
