Today's Verse
Restore us to yourself, O LORD, that we may return; renew our days as of old.
— Lamentations 5:21 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When these words were first spoken, they focused on God's restoration of Israel back to its place, its prominence, its life, and its Temple. Yet from our vantage point, this prayer can be ours as well. Restoration can mean Christ's return which brings us home to God. On that day, every barrier standing between God and us will fall. Our mortality will be swallowed up in victory. We will see God face to face and get to walk with him in the cool of the day as his perfect children. May that day come soon!My Prayer...
Holy and awesome God, I know a huge gulf stands between your perfection and my limitations. Yet, dear Father, I believe you have spanned that gulf with your grace. While I wait for that perfection to dawn in all its fullness, please empower me for my battles with the Evil One and deliver me from all spiritual harm and attack. Until the day I see you face to face, please accept my all-too-limited and human praise for all you have done to save me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.http://www.verseoftheday.com/
Prayer warriors, we have much need for special, specific prayer this day, please lift with me in prayer, an aging mother who is battling with health problems, may she find comfort in being home now and may the healing hands of God be laid upon her and she feel his love and have the strength to pull through this and be made well. For a special "golden girl" who is restless and having health struggles that she might feel your calm, loving hand father and know rest and comfort. Father we pray for a niece who is suffering crones disease and is in intensive care, father lay your hands upon her and bring her back to health, take this terrible disease and make it lay dormant giving no further problems, for the brother who has suffered injury and is now rehabbing, bless him with fortitude and will to be healed 100%, and bless the families of all who are dealing with illness, may they fall into your arms and use your love to further them in the caregiving, replace the worry with calm, the pain with comfort, and the "what if" with peace. God we love you with all of our being and ask these things in the name of our savior Jesus Christ, amen.

For those of you finding out about this via fb, I'm sorry. I need prayer warrior help. Our grandson, Austin, is being careflighted to Cook's Children's Hospital because he has fluid on the brain. He quit breathing and had a seizure. We need your prayers of faith, please.
Our dear kind and loving father in heaven, I come to you with a humble heart and ask mercy and healing for Austin. Father God, as we bow to you on bended knees we know that your will be done, we know that you are there with Austin and that you will comfort him above all other comfort, that you love him and that you have a wonderful plan for him! God bless his family with calm and comfort and the knowledge that they are not standing in the shadows alone, that as you are with Austin you also are with them, holding them and giving them strength. In Jesus beautiful name, amen!
