You got to know when to hold em' and know when to fold em'

Bring on Saturday night! Wow, where did this day go? It seems they come and go faster and faster every day! I have enjoyed the fall weather this day, there was a touch of thunder and rain which I lovingly looked out at and asked if it would mind heading south east to my friends in Texas!
Have you ever tried to figure people out? I tell you, the harder I try to more frustrated I become, I realize that most people have an angle and even more they have a method to their actions and they do things that are based on what is in it for them....but boy, some people really just "take the cake"! I can only pray for them and ask God to turn the highbeams on so that they might see that their actions are not very Christlike at all and that they really need to alter some of the behaviors they are exhibiting! I pray, pray, pray that they do! Sometimes we just have to take note, decide what we need and do not need in our lives and allow God to lead us in what needs to be done, namely not allowing those people to be a big part of your lives any more, sometimes it is better to walk away and not let them drag you into the dark place they have decided to call home. Sometimes you have to know when to hold em' and know when to fold em'.  God give us knowledge and strength to walk with those only becoming to you!
Okay, off of my soapbox and on to what is important! I invite you to pray with me tonight, let us continue to pray for all in Texas who are suffering from the fires, the loss of belongings, the loss of loved ones, allow them to feel rain father, allow the rains to fall upon the land to begin the process of regrowth. Allow your people there to feel the wet rain upon their bodies, to dance in the rain and to feel a renewal of faith! Pray with me for all of those who will assemble at the dedication of the 9:11 memorial tomorrow, for those who lost loves and never recovered their bodies, may they feel the veil become thin and they know that the spirits of those that parished are with them, that the love they felt is stronger than ever and allow them peace and calm in their bodies and in their hearts. Father wrap a shield of protection around the city making the terroristic threats be only that... threats! Any bombs that may be in place, take them and make them void of blast! Allow a feeling of peace and growth to one and all. I pray for all of my family and friends that no matter what you are going through, no matter how bad life seems at this appointed time that you know someone bigger than any storm that might fall upon you, much larger than any woe that might come your way...GOD is on your side if only you ask him to be, give it over to him and watch him take care of it for you! Love to each and everyone of you in Christ....may your evening be filled with laughter and safety.
