See things through the eyes of your child and learn from them!!!

Good morning and happy Thursday. It is a bit warmer out this morning, the calm before the storm I am guessing..we are at 37 degrees with rain/snow predicted for today. As I went out for my morning one on one time with our Father in heaven this morning I was overwhelmed with the wonderful beauty in the sky, I am a sucker for the color salmon, the sky was streaked with beautiful hue of blue, a few cotton ball clouds and wonderful wide brush strokes of salmon in every direction! What a way to begin the day!
In prayer this morning as I sat wrapped in my special "blankie" I sat with my head tilted towards the heavens, eyes fixed on the sky, enjoying the still and quiet of the world before the hustle and bustle of the day began, I prayed my normal morning prayers asking God to bless each of you with a wonderful new day, asking him to hold each one of you in his arms, to carry you through the rough patches, to set you gently down when the rough turned to smooth and to bless you abundantly as you walk along your way. I asked special blessings for my sister and her husbands family today as the reality and the realization set in that one of their own is now walking the golden path in heaven, that they take today to reflect upon the last few years that have been riddled with pain and sickness and treatments. To take this day to cry for their broken hearts, and for the longing they will feel to have her back with them and then to begin to rejoice that the angel here on earth that was in their lives has been healed of all affliction, the cancer has been taken from her body and she is the same angel that she was here on earth, just new and improved by the hand of God. Please pray with me that they are filled with the knowledge of progression, that their loved one is Home now and will make ready a safe haven for them when God calls each one home. I ask that you pray with me this morning for all who are suffering illness, to take the strain of treatment off of them today to allow them ease from pain, please pray for those suffering the war of addiction, the battle of depression, the bite of financial woe, the pain of loss, the fight with faith and for light out of the darkness. I ask you Father to bless each of us, your children, this day with a nod of approval that we are heading in the right direction! I ask these mercies and blessings in the name of our savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

WHY GOD LOVE CHILDREN

When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard.
My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.

When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away.
My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.

When I hear music I love, I know I can't carry a tune and don't have much rhythm so I sit self- consciously and listen.
My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don't know them, they make up their own.

When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk.
My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.

When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that.
My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."

When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets.
My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to reroute and worms to play with.

I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children!!
"Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
