He Understands My Tears

I wish I could find a song that asks God if He is still near and loves me. The depression and anxiety get to me but I just dont see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am wondering if I am going through this stuff because I dont really pray and I question if and when I do pray, if it is a must for me to get on my knees to do so.

I am so sad you are having the struggles you are having, God is near you and he always loves you, why would he have given his perfect son for you if he did not. Depression and anxiety are ugly beasts, they can take us to dark places that we never imagined we would go, ask God to help lead you out, ask him to be your shield of protection against them and believe that he will be. Praying does not have to come in the from of being on ones knees, praying comes from your heart, you can pray whenever you wish, pray all day long, talk to God as you talk to your friends, let him know when you are frightened at the very moment it happens, ask him to step in the moment you feel anxiety kicking in, when you feel yourself beginning to sink let your heart reach out to him and ask him to take your hand and pull you out. Pray anywhere, anytime...I am praying for you asking God to take your specific needs and wrap them around you as a secure blanket, to hold you when you are low and to pick you up and carry you when you feel you have no strength. God bless you my friend, we are here for you and we care. Love to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
