~~THE STUFF OF LIFE~~

Good morning and happy Friday to you! It is another cold clear morning here in Utah, 19 degrees with little to no wind at all, the sun is up and the warmth of it on my face as I sit bundled against the cold..AMAZING feeling! I pray your morning has started off with a calm and peace that allows you quiet time to share in conversation with our Father in heaven.

In prayer this morning as I sat enjoying the sun on my face, I began to thank God for all of the goodness in my life, my Wayde, my child, his children, my G~babes, my health although a bit off at times I still am so thankful that I don't have more problems than I do have. I thanked Him for the warmth of home, the food provided and the happiness in my heart! I asked God to give you happiness in your heart today, that you might see something in a new way today, that you may stop and take time to enjoy your world. I asked God to bless my friend whose is fervently praying for her father who had a stroke and is now having more health issues slowing the healing process of the stroke, she is worried over her mom who stands by so strong and poised, afraid that she might break. Father give this family renewed strength and a sign of relief today that in time all will be well. I asked special prayers for a sweet family struggling with one having cancer and another having issues with her heart. Bless them father with your healing hands, comfort them in this storm and let your light shine upon them so that the fear is laid still. I ask Father that you bless my daughter and soon to be son with love and joy in their new home, that you continue to allow them to feel the love they feel for one another growing stronger and stronger each day. Bless the baby growing within her, allow him/her to feel the huge amount of love there is for him/her. I ask mercy and blessings upon those who cannot conceive a child that their bodies be healed and the beauty and the joy of being with child be given them. I pray for those who are battling illness, depression, addiction, financial problems, thoughts of suicide, unruly children and all the other problems that may be in their lives, be the light they need Father that confirms you are there with them. Let them feel something special today as knowledge that you have a plan for them. Comfort those with the why's today father! In the name of our beautiful brother, our savior and our friend, Jesus Christ. Amen.

I love the story below, it is something that I cannot stress enough, we spend so much time in life looking for the bigger things that we tend to step right over the little things! God bless you all with peace, love and joy this day! I love each of you in Christ

Lisa Beamer on Good Morning America

If you remember, she's the wife of Todd Beamer who said "Let's Roll!" and helped take down the plane that was heading for Washington, D.C. She said it's the little things that she misses most about Todd, such as hearing the garage door open as he came home, and her children running to meet him.  She is now the mom of a beautiful little girl, Mary.

Lisa recalled this story:

I had a very special teacher in high school many years ago whose husband died suddenly of a heart attack. About a week after his death, she shared some of her insight with a classroom of students. As the late afternoon sunlight came streaming in through the classroom windows and the class was nearly over, she moved a few things aside on the edge of her desk and sat down there. With a gentle look of reflection on her face, she paused and said, "Class is over. I would like to share with all of you a thought that is unrelated to class, but which I feel is very important."

"Each of us is put here on earth to learn, share, love, appreciate and give of ourselves. None of us knows when this fantastic experience will end. It can be taken away at any moment. Perhaps this is the power's way of telling us that we must make the most out of every single day."

Her eyes beginning to water, she went on. "So, I would like you all to make me a promise. From now on, on your way to school or on your way home, find something beautiful to notice. It doesn't have to be something you see. It could be a scent, perhaps of freshly baked bread wafting out of someone's house, or it could be the sound of the breeze slightly rustling the leaves in the trees, or the way the morning light catches one autumn leaf as it falls gently to the ground. Please look for these things, and cherish them, for although it may sound trite to some, these things are the 'stuff' of life."

"The little things were put here on earth to enjoy, and these are the things we often take for granted. We must make it important to notice them, for any anytime it can all be taken away."

The class was completely quiet. We all picked up our books and filed out of the room silently. That afternoon, I noticed more things on my way home from school than I had that whole semester.

Every once in a while, I think of that teacher and remember what an impression she made on all of us, and I try to appreciate all of those things that sometimes we all overlook.

Take notice of something special you see on your lunch hour today. Go barefoot, or walk on the beach at sunset. Stop off on the way home tonight to get a double dip ice cream cone. For as we get older, it is not the things we did that we often regret, but the things we didn't do.
