God sees us even in our darkest hour...don't ever give up!!!

Good morning and happy Wednesday, wow this week is flying right on by! I pray your day is filled with only good things and that you did not forget to put on you smile before walking out the door. It is a snowy day here in Utah, we have not had many of these this winter and although it is a mere skiff in amount, I will sit from behind the glass and enjoy the beauty of it.

In prayer this morning I thanked God for yet another day of life, I thanked him for allowing me to awake and see the beauty that he has formatted for us today. I asked Him to continue in protecting you, in allowing you your needs and in touching those who are struggling with hope, His strength and his love. I continue to pray for my sweet friend who has been through so very much the last few weeks, we are minute by minute in asking God to help her begin the healing process. Thank you Father for bringing her through the most difficult part of the storm and continue to allow her to use your strength and will until she can use her own. I asked God for mercy, favor, and blessings for all in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Shipwreck

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small,  uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.

The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried. Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground--it just may be a smoke signal that summons The Grace of God.
