Good evening my friends, it has been another hazy day here in Utah, the temperatures are much warmer and I am seeing a few little sprigs of my spring plants popping out from the soil...so bring on the sun and we will chalk this winter up to very very mild!
In prayer this evening I found myself feeling so filled with the love of our Father in heaven, I found myself humbled and so very special. When this happens to me I feel overwhelmed and many times unworthy. I thanked Him for this feeling and asked him to please continue to allow me to know and feel when others are in need of just a hello or a how are you? I thanked him for each of you and for the ones who come and ask me to pray with/for you, it is such an honor to be able to life you and yours in prayer. I ask that you all pray with me for a very special Christian couple who have just lost their unborn baby, also for a sweet lady who is just being taken to the hospital with chest pains, Father pull each of these people into your arms and allow them to draw from your strength and your power. Allow them to feel your love and allow them the knowledge that you are with them, that your arms are open, and that you will never let them weather any storm alone as long as they seek your compassion and grace. Father allow us all peace in our hearts, calm in our minds and comfort in our bodies. I ask all of these favors and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ. Amem
Why be different???
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
“Oh, excuse me Please” was my reply.
He said, “Please excuse me too;
Wasn’t even watching for you.
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said good-bye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My daughter stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked her down.
“Move out of the way,” I said with a frown.
She walked away, her little heart was broken.
I didn’t realize how harshly I’d spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God’s still small voice came to me and said,
“While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use,
But the children you love, you seem to abuse.
Look on the kitchen floor,
You’ll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers she brought for you.
She picked them herself, pink, yellow and blue.
She stood quietly not to spoil the surprise,
And you never saw the tears in her eyes.”
By this time, I felt very small
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by her bed;
“Wake up, little girl, wake up,” I said.
“Are these the flowers you picked for me?”
She smiled, “I found ‘em, out by the tree.
I picked ‘em because they’re pretty like you.
I knew you’d like ‘em, especially the blue.”
I said, “Daughter, I’m sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn’t have yelled at you that way.”
She said, “Oh, Mom, that’s okay. I love you anyway.”
I said, “Daughter, I love you too,
And I do like the flowers, especially the blue.”

Are you aware that:
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family — an unwise investment indeed. So what is behind the story?

You know what is the full word of family?
FAMILY=(F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER, (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU
It is worthwhile to share more time with them as they are getting older. Make balance among all things. Fill life with love and bravery and we shall live a life uncommon.

Thank you Dawn for this story. This is something we all need to read and to remember. It is sad that so many of us are guilty of this without even thinking about it. We get in such a hurry in our busy lives that we take for granted the ones we love the most. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. And thank you for praying again for my family. I love you dearly sweet friend.
Barbara, when I read this it hit me so hard, I sat down and thought about all of the times that I have been hasty with my daughter, how many times I put her on the back burner and neglected to make her first in my life, I even thought about my animals, how many times I do not take the time to let them know I appreciate their unconditional love....it really opened my eyes...I know there is a healing coming for each of you and I know that in God's time there will be huge blessings for your son and his bride. I love you very much Barbara, always have and always will!!!
