Simple lessons I learned from my "pooch"

Good morning and happy Thursday morning, can you believe it is another Friday eve and time for another weekend, this week seems to have vanished right before my eyes!

In prayer this morning as I sat out in the wonderful warmer day, I laid my head back and listened as the birds were happily singing a song. There is a hint of sweet sunshine trying to march right through the clouds and I sit eager to allow it to wash its wonderful warmth over me! I thanked my Father in heaven first and foremost for giving me yet another day here on earth, and asked Him to allow me to cross the path of someone in need of His word. I thanked Him for each of you, for the kindness you continue to show me! I thanked Him for the miracle of healing that is taking place in my friend Star and asked Him to continue hour by hour to bring her through the storm and place her on the banks of safety and health. I Continue to pray for the sweet lady who was taken to the hospital with chest pain, that the doctor's have now determined the cause of the pain, have treated her and that she is on her way with no lingering incident. I prayed for each of you, asking for peace in your hearts, calm in your minds, and comfort in your bodies...that you might feel an enormous sense of God today, that your light might shine on a particular person in need and that you recognize and assist when it does. In all I say and all I do, I love you Father God. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask for healing and blessings. Amen.

Have you ever heard the expression, "it's a dogs life" well I never really understood the real meaning of that, I have always associate our little 4 legged babies as being angels from heaven because they are filled with such love for us and only want to please us! I never realized if I slowed down and took on some of their habits how much  easier some parts of my life could be...I think I will try to institute some of these into my daily life and see if I can't relax a bit!!!

Things We Can Learn From a Dog

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

Be loyal.

Run, romp and play daily.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you’re scolded, don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout…run right back and make friends.

When it’s in your best interest, practice obedience.

Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory.

Take naps and stretch before rising.

Never pretend to be something you’re not.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
