Happy Saturday morning and what a beautiful morning it is here in Utah. The sun is shining and it is 37 degrees and feeling like capri and flip~flop weather to me...ugh to bad I don't have a nice pedicure so that I could sport the flops today....winter feet...ugh!!!
In prayer this morning as I sat out in the sunshine I thanked God for the warmth and the joy he was allowing in my heart. I laid my head back on the chair and allowed the "son" to wash over me taking anything that might be lurking around negatively and changed it all over to a positive. I thanked him for each of you and asked that he allow the "son" to wash over you today, allowing you to feel his total love and goodness. I lifted in prayer
~~ Prayers needed a young brother please. He was air lifted to Augusta Burn Unit with 3rd degree burns on his arms & face 2nd degree burns down his throat & lungs. He will be in the OR this morning to evaluate his burns to see if any repair can be done. Thank you so much.~~
asking God to bless this young man with a mighty healing, I continued to pray for my friend Star and for Rebecca as they lay in the hospital going through the difficult process of rehabilitation and gave thanks for the both of them being alive. I prayed for a miraculous healing for my friends legs which have been infected so greatly and will not heal asking God to touch them with his loving hands and to take the infection once and for all leaving her with ability to heal. I continued to pray for each of you that you might be given his strength, his peace, his calm, and his comfort and that you might feel his unconditional love and pay it forward to those in need. I asked all of these mercies and graces in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Now this is a writing that says it all, this...in a nutshell....is what God needs from each and every one of us...lets do our part starting today!!!!
A Drop In The Ocean
I was in the post office the other day waiting to mail out a few letters. As the line moved slowly forward I chatted with the woman in front of me. She was carrying a large package that she was mailing to her daughter who lived on the other side of the country. It was clear from her voice too just how much she loved and missed her girl.
When it was finally her turn she slowly but happily counted out her money for the postage. Her smile faded, however, as she discovered that she didn’t have enough cash with her to mail out the package. Quickly, I reached into my own pocket and got the extra change she needed. It was only a few coins but the smile and thanks she gave me in return were priceless treasures. I left that post office with a smiling face and a happy heart.
Now I know that my little act of kindness was only a tiny drop compared to the vast ocean of God’s love. Still, over the years I have come to see that in the eyes of Heaven every single drop counts. Every kind act, every caring smile, every loving thought, and every helping hand adds to the ocean of God’s love here. Every single drop makes it greater.
Every little thing we do in this life is important. Every little thing we do makes a difference. Drop by drop God wants us to add to the endless waters of His love that wash over this world. Start today then. Give the world the gift of your smile. Share a laugh with your friends. Give your loved ones a heartfelt hug. Open a door for a stranger. Give a few coins to a person in need. Pass on a friendly wave, a bit of good news, or a positive thought. Shower people with your kindness and love. Help everyone you can every chance you can. Sow a few seeds of joy in the Winter even if you won’t get to see them bloom in the Spring. Keep adding to your drops of love until they become a river that flows joyously back into Heaven’s sea.
