... the past does not define the future, that yesterday does not name today...

A happy Tuesday morning to all. It is beautiful here in Utah this morning, as I sit eagerly awaiting the sound of the trumpet playing reveille from Hill Air Force Base, which is very close to where I am, I find myself filled with so much happiness and joy just to be given another day here on earth to do the things that God is calling me to do. The sun has not come up yet but will be making its grand appearance shortly. The birds are full of joy and beautiful song and the chill in the air is just another truth that fall is with us...oh sweet fall my favorite time of year.

I have a very special prayer request for you this morning. It is a request for a very sweet lady who has made some really poor choices up to this point in life. It is for a mother who has all but collapsed under the strain of raising three children on her own, It is for a sister who has laid down her faith and filled herself with negative forces. It is for a human being who is in need of much help, who is in need of compassion, of understanding, of love and of forgiveness.
God does not promise us an easy life, he only promises us that if we live according to the tenants of the gospel, and if we walk beside him daily in our deeds that he will give us everlasting life, that he will supply the Holy Ghost to prompt us along the way when we begin to step off of the path, he promises us "protection from the storms" Life has been very difficult for this sweet lady and time and time again she has mis~stepped and fallen to the ground, with each fall she has slowly began to let go of God's hand, she has gotten turned around on the path and has begun to walk backwards. She reached out yesterday for love, for help, for understanding, and for forgiveness. She feels that all is lost and that the choices she has made cannot be redirected. Her children are in a state of fear and confusion as to their future with her and her family is torn and tattered from the troubles they are seeing. I ask that you pray with me for change, for a change in her thought process, for her to release the past and to begin walking God's path again. I ask you to pray with me for peace in her mind, that she finally let go of the negative, that she feel the love of our Father in heaven and the love from her family and friends. I ask that you pray with me that she finally, once and for all, forgive all that has happened to her, that she quit blaming God for the bad in her life and that she accept him, that she quits speaking the " I believe in God" words and that she truly and honestly feels them in her heart. We can speak many words in life but unless we BELIEVE we are merely making noise. I ask you to pray with me for her children, that they feel the great love of all who are rallying around them, that their fears are calmed and that they feel the comfort of God's loving arms. We have all made bad choices in life, we have all gotten crossways on the path and many of us have gotten turned around and have walked backwards...I lift my hand in confession for I am a work in progress and I continue to make poor choices. Today I ask that you pray with me that the ills of her deeds will be wiped away and the healing will begin. Today I ask you to pray that she realize finally that the past does not define the future, that yesterday does not name today, that we are all in this game of life and we are here to support one another, we are here to lift one another, and that we are all searching for the same end, eternal paradise and favor in God's eye. Our mistake might not be erased but they can be forgiven if only we reach out for God's hands and ask humbly for forgiveness. Deeds written in the sand will, over time, fade away...only deeds written in stone will last forever, her mis~deeds are in sand and with much love, and support over time will fade away. Let us pray, pray, pray that she will feel our love today and in the coming days and that our love will be enough to give her strength and get her back on track. In the name of Jesus Christ our  Savior I ask for these mercies, this grace, this favor, and abundant blessings Amen...

Let us all, each and every one of us, remember that there are choices around every corner, there is negative just waiting to jump on our backs, there is evil that wills for us to do bad....let us not cast stones at those who have fallen victim to this evil, instead let us PRAY for righteousness, let us rally in SUPPORT of those who are lost.
