which hat are you wearing today?

Good morning and happy Thursday to all. As I sit here this morning looking out at the world I am humbled at the beauty all around me, the trees now barren of leaves afford me a clear view of the mountain to the east...however the haze has made it impossible to see the mountain...I know it is there and I know that as soon as the haze breaks I will again see it standing so tall and strong. I always think of God when things like this happen, I know he is there~~always~~ but I cannot see "HIM" I see all the beauty he provides but I do not see "HIM" however I know HE is there and that one day I will stand and see him standing tall and strong in all his glory...Just because we can't see it with our eyes does not mean we cannot feel it in our hearts!

I had the great pleasure of chatting with two young ladies last night on facebook, two young ladies that I have not seen since they were little girls. I still find it hard to believe that only yesterday our kids were babies and now our kids are having babies??? Where does the time go??? I laughed with them and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the adult version of them. We reminisced and caught up on all of life's trials and tribulations...how amazing it is to hear some little things they said that told me I had made a difference in their lives. I went to sleep remembering the fun times we had and feeling blessed. 

What am I praying for today???

Today my prayer is that in all that you do you think someone is watching you...no I don't mean in a paranoid way! I mean in a way that determines what type of attitude you will take in each situation....think about this..who is the person you respect most in your life? Okay now think about how you are always on your best "attitude" behavior when you are around them...now wonder how you would change your being if that person watched each and everything you are doing from the time you arise until the time you lay your head down to sleep! Is that not the way you should act around everyone, is that not the "who" you should be? Don't put on airs around certain people and then be a demon around others, be constant, find the best you you can be and begin to shine it, begin to decorate it, begin to make it beautiful and allow everyone and I mean everyone to see the bright shining star you become. God watches everything we do and I am sure that at times he becomes very disappointed that we put on different masks for different people and different occasions. It pleases me greatly to know that after all of these years I can honestly say I am what I am, what you see is what you get, I treat everyone the same whether they be my religious leaders, my boss, my friends,...everyone. I really got tired in my early years trying to remember which hat I had to wear to which function....try it if you will, just be you.... Please also if you will continue to pray with me for my family, for those struggling with recovery, with sadness, with impending loss, with financial woes and with depression.
