Good Morning and happy Tuesday, I am sitting by the window in my living room, the sun is shining on my face and is really giving the idea that it is warm and desirable outside....wrong, I opened the door to absorb the what seemed might be warmth and it is COLD...it is a brisk 32 degrees with a bit of wind whipping from time to time. Even though it is cold out the birds are flitting around the feeder this morning and my cat is sitting in the window chattering away. Life is good and I am so thankful for the warmth of my little box apartment and the wonderful window that allows me to sit and enjoy all of the things I love, the beauty of the sky, the snow capped mountains in the distance, the trees beginning to bud and the birds singing beautiful songs.
In prayer this morning I asked special favor and blessings for a sister "from another mister", she was struck by a vehicle last week and is having surgery this morning on her ankle, please if you will lift her in prayer asking God to guide the hands of the surgeons allowing them perfection and precision in replacing and realigning so that she will heal and be able to once again walk without incident. I also lifted a little one in prayer, she is on an IV and is having several tests run. She has had diarrhea since birth, but lately it has been getting worse. Different formulas have been tried, but nothing has seemed to help. Hopefully, the test results will allow a quick and happy ending to this problem. Father God we come to you again this morning asking for relief of this baby, asking that you lay your healing hands upon her body and bring her to health and strength. Another prayer I would like to request is for a man who is having blood build up in his eye and is having to have the blood suctioned out each week for the next month and then will have a procedure done to try and stop the bleeding, Father allow him to be healed so that there is no lasting damage with his eye and for another man who had hip replacement and continues to have issues in his body after surgery. Please lay hands upon him, allow the Dr's to find the real problem and make whatever repairs are necessary for healing. I lifted each of you in prayer asking God to see your needs and to make provision for you that the stress in your life might be taken and that your faith be strengthened. I also prayed fervently for a situation in my own life asking God to soften hearts and to reveal visions of truth. Father God we come to you every day giving thanks and lifting those in need in prayer, we never doubt that you hear us, we never don't believe that you will answer our prayers, we see miracles happening around us, we see people opening their hearts to you through the example of those who love and honor you, we fail, we sin, we get up and then we fall again, and never do we feel that you are kicking us away from you, I love you so much and am so thankful that you love me the same, I am trying to be all that I need to be Father, please just keep on having faith in me! In the name of Jesus Christ we ask for favor, mercy, blessings and grace. Amen.
I love stories of miracles, I love stories of answered prayers, I love affirmation of faith and affirmation that God does indeed hear us and indeed blesses us in all ways. I am so very thankful that he allows us to see these miracles that keep us filled with hope that our prayers will be answered as well...I found this account this morning and love it!!! What a miracle this is!!!!
For This Child I Prayed
The miracle that told this couple that the adoption they were about to undertake was part of God’s plan.
By Pamela Freeman
My husband and I sat at our dining-room table filling out the forms that would decide the future of our family. For two years, we’d tried to have a child. But infertility forced us to rethink our plans.
We’d prayed and prayed about what to do and every sign had led us here, to this form that would officially start the process of adopting a child from Russia.
Now I felt an incredible, powerful surge of confidence that we were doing the right thing. I signed the bottom and wrote the date, March 17, 2004.
That confidence carried me through the grueling months ahead. Costs for background checks, processing fees and other requirements were high.
Putting together the documents that described us, our home, our health and our finances took months of paper chasing, visits from a social worker and repeated trips to government offices.
Finally we completed everything and waited to hear from the adoption agency.

Then the Russian government changed its international adoption laws. What should have been a few months of waiting lasted more than a year. Had we really followed God’s will? I started to wonder about the sense of confidence I’d felt the day we signed the forms.
In the spring of 2006, we got a call from the adoption agency.
“There’s a boy in one of our orphanages in southern Russia,” the person said. “We’re e-mailing you the pictures.”
He was a sweet little redhead, two years old. It was love at first sight. We made our travel plans. Halfway across the world, in Volgograd, Russia, my husband and I found what we’d been praying for.
The boy was shy at first, but soon he was playing and cuddling with us. I held him and didn’t want to let him go.
“He has some minor medical problems,” the orphanage director warned, reading through the boy’s file. “We don’t know who his parents were. He was abandoned when he was just a few weeks old.”
I looked at my husband. Did any of that matter? He was meant for us, wasn’t he? The director peered down at the boy’s file again.
“He was found by a police officer,” she said, “on March 17, 2004.”
