As many of you know we have been lifting in prayer a sweet little man who is an outgoing 23 month old who was diagnosed with retinoblastoma(cancer of the eye) on 2/1/13. He had his eye removed on 2/12/13 and has begun chemo..He is a precious little angel and has such a happy attitude and is filled with joy and laughter. I have been made aware that someone has taken it upon themselves to ask for donations for him. I just am thankful that this has come to the attention of the family and they are making it clear that donations are to be made at local banks in their area. If any of you wish to make donations please do not give the money to anyone other than the bank she is listing below....The thing that burns my bum is that it seems someone might be trying to make a profit off of this little ones disease, please in any case where money is being donated...make sure that you donate where the money is supposed to go and not just to someone saying they are going to give it to the proper place, unfortunately there are people in this world that will take advantage of any situation for personal gain....tsk, tsk, tsk...that is just wrong and I am sure not pleasing in God's eyes....It is sad that our world has come to this so I just ask that you please be aware of the circumstance before you make the donation.....IF any of my overseas readers wish to donate I would be glad to get the bank information for you!!!!!
1 Thessalonians 4:6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
I contacted Avery's grandmother and this is her words in response to my question:
I contacted Avery's grandmother and this is her words in response to my question:
"Yes we had a lady contact my parents and she said someone had contacted her about donating money for Avery so that he could start Chemo. Avery started Chemo last month. She was able to get my parents name so that she could call them to verify if this was legitimate.
Avery has a bank account set up for anyone that would like to donate at First National Bank Lake Jackson/Brazoria, Texas. He will be having a benefit in the near future and we also sell Team Avery bracelets and on April 10th La Casona in Angleton is donating 10% of your ticket if you mention Avery's name. But our family doesn't call and ask for donations and we just wanted everyone to know if someone contacts you asking for donations for Avery, that it is not us and we don't know anything about it.
Thanks again Dawn for all the help and prayers:)"
Please if you find it in your heart to make a donation contact the bank directly and see what you need to do to make the donation, I am sure the family would so appreciate anything that can be given no matter how small...This family did not have insurance and the bills are rising with each passing visit and treatment! God we ask you to make provision for this sweet family and to keep the healing process happening in Avery's life....we thank you for the outcome thus far and are believing that the end will be restoration of health with no further cancer....In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
