She found Someone who Would love her FOREVER!!!!

Good evening and happy Monday evening! I pray your day has been a wonderful day for you, that you have taken some time today for yourself and spent some special time with God today! I so love my special time with Him! I thank him from the bottom of my heart for giving me the gift of you! I am much blessed!

In prayer this evening I asked God to bless each of you with peace of mind, calm in heart and comfort in body and most of all for knowledge that he loves you so very much, that he gave the ultimate gift to you and that no matter what you have done, it is never to late to reach your hand out to him and allow him to take it, to gently pull you onto your feet and set you back on the right path. I lifted prayers for a special prayer warrior friend and her son as they travel through the thicket of trials, father you know the needs in their hearts, please I ask that you will shine upon them and allow them to see the path, allow them to follow your leadership and guidance and find their way! Father touch them with your love and allow them to know that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. I also ask that you bless the mother of a dear friend who is now in the hospital, the dr.s have not been able to determine what is the source of her illness, be the great instructor to the dr.s and lead them in the right direction, Father lay your healing hands upon her and bring her back to perfect health. I have a brother in Christ who is going through some intensely rough times and even has no place to lodge, I ask God to provide for him a way that he find shelter and also that he find peace and calm in his heart.  I also ask special blessings upon one of my best friends, my sister in Christ who is struggling with stomach issues, may you touch her father in the affected area and take the problem from her body. Please bless any who are in the darkness tonight trying as they may to find the light, allow the light in someone faithful to be an example of all that is good, allow the light to shine brightly so that the one in darkness might step out and come into the light. I ask all of these favors and mercies in the name of our savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Tonight's story is one that I know will touch the heart of many, both female and male alike, one of our biggest hitches in life is hoping to find our soul mate. Sometimes some of us have to kiss a lot of toads before we find out handsome prince! Me being a frog kisser:) I love the ending of this story!

'A Gift in the Trees'
God shows his love for us in many ways. Something that may not seem extraordinary to one person might appear as a miracle for someone else. On Christmas Eve 1997, that is exactly how I saw things, though not at first. At first I was feeling too sorry for myself to see anything but my own unhappiness.
The holiday season is a popular time for couples to get engaged. I had been in three long-term relationships by the time I was 29, but none of them had ever produced a marriage proposal. I had always considered myself a loyal, caring, unselfish girlfriend, and boyfriends often told me as much after the relationship had ended. I always seemed to be "the one that got away," and I began to feel like I was special only once the relationship was over. After a while, I started to feel like I just wasn't worth a lifetime commitment.
At the age of 29, I decided I needed to take my own happiness into consideration. It took a couple years of dating mistakes, but I finally figured out how to respect my own needs and not just worry about the needs of my partner. That's when, at the age of 31, I met Paul. He was a wonderful person who didn't expect me to take care of him. He just wanted to be with me, and he respected me for who I was. Everything felt right between us, and I figured I had finally found a man I could marry.
During our second Christmas together, I thought Paul might propose. On December 22, we ventured onto the topic of marriage. Paul said that he did see himself marrying me, but the timing was not good "right now." I couldn't help but feel sorry for myself. So many of my friends had received proposals and engagement rings, but I had never received either. I was at the point where I figured maybe marriage just wasn't in the cards for me.
On the following day, December 23, school was canceled because of a winter storm. I knew my students would be as excited as I was for the extra day off right before the holiday break. It would also be nice to have a beautiful, white Christmas. The roads were covered in snow, and the trees were buried under a sheer layer of ice. It was much too hazardous to venture out, so I just stayed inside and reflected on my situation.
By the end of that snowy day, I had come to the conclusion that it wasn't the proposal I needed. It was simply that I wanted to feel loved and appreciated enough that someone would want to be with me forever. I prayed to God and asked that someday a man would think I was important enough to give me a diamond, the symbol of the commitment that my heart needed the most.
Christmas Eve finally arrived. Paul came to my house so we could ride together to my sister's holiday party. I was happy to be with him but a little sad knowing he wouldn't be proposing that night.
By this time, almost all the snow and ice had quietly melted away. I realized that we wouldn't have a white Christmas after all. It would, however, make the drive to the party much safer.
The gathering was a happy one. My nieces and nephew were a joy to watch as they opened their gifts. Paul and I had a wonderful time with my family. Eventually, after all the gifts had been opened and all goodbyes repeatedly exchanged, we left.
It was a long, quiet ride home, as Paul fell asleep 25 minutes into the trip. The roads were dry and the trees were barren. Yet the stars shone brightly against the black, cloudless sky, adding a touch of beauty to the night.
As I neared my home, a small group of trees caught my attention. They stood out from the rest of the dull, dry landscape. Of all the tress I had passed on my way home, these were the only ones that had any sign of the recent winter storm upon their branches. As I drove, I wondered how this could be. The temperature was much too warm. Yet somehow the branches were covered in an incredible layer of ice. I had seen ice-covered trees many times before, but something about these was extraordinary. This was a dazzling light like I had never seen before.
As I gazed at the beautiful trees, warmth spread through my heart. This was a truly magical moment. No longer was I seeing these winter-decorated branches with the eyes on my face; I now looked upon them with the eyes in my heart and soul. That night -- Christmas Eve 1997--the air was clean and crisp, the sky was entirely filled with stars, and the trees...the trees sparkled with diamonds. Thousands and thousands of diamonds.
In my heart I knew this was God's way of answering my prayers. I had needed him to show me that there was a man who thought I was worth a commitment, the commitment that is symbolized by a diamond ring. That Christmas Eve, God covered the trees in diamonds for my eyes and heart to behold. It was his way of showing me that he thought I was special and worthwhile enough for an eternal commitment.
As Paul slept quietly in the seat next to me, completely unaware of the miracle that had taken place, joyous tears of peace and self-worth streamed down my face. I knew that I had found someone who would love me forever, and realizing this was more profound and meaningful than any marriage proposal I could ever receive. -- By Cynthia J. Teixeira

How Much Does Your SMILE Cost?????

Good morning and Happy Saturday! It is beautiful out this morning a fresh blanket of white on the ground and although the sky is hazy the sun has popped its head out and is causing the snow to glisten! Beautiful, just BE U T FUL:)
I pray your morning has been a quiet and calm one, that all of you got a good nights rest and are revved up, rejuvenated and ready for whatever the day brings your way. In prayer this morning I sat outside admiring the beauty that God has laid for us this day and I could not help but wonder what it would be like without the colors, the sounds, and the smells that we are blessed with. Imagine if everything were shades of black, white, and gray? I thanked Him for his gift of color in our lives. I said my normal morning prayers asking God to bless each of you with a day of delight, to take each of your trials and let them lay dormant this day, to allow you the blessings of answered prayers and the release of stress and drama. Imagine a day with nothing but love, joy, and laughter...if you can imagine it, you can have it! Positive is as positive does:)  As I was closing my prayer, a very strong emotion crossed my heart,  "Life is a gift" and the word understanding. In my day to day dealings I see so much back stabbing, so much gossip, so much "fakeness" so much ignorance! Each person we come across has a story, each person has a rhyme to their reason and many times the rhyme and reason do not measure up to what we deem as "correct" "normal" or "accepted" instead of trying to understand what makes the person be the person they are, we turn away, sometimes we act "put out", sometimes we act frightened, some times we act mean in spirit toward that person. I pray today that if you feel any of these feeling brewing up in you as you see someone who is not up to "standard" that you be understanding! Until you have walked in their shoes you have no idea what they are going through. It starts with the gift of hello and a smile, let them know that all people do not think them disgusting simply because they do not "have." Give the gift of YOU today...compassion starts with a smile and then God leads your from there! Some of the richest people I  have met are the ones that have no worldly possessions, some of the most spirit filled people I have met are struggling each day just to make it through! Look with your heart and love with what God has given you. Gifts do not have to cost money, the finest gifts I have ever received have been a simple hello, a genuine smile and a comforting touch. Share the gift of you today!

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.

Life Is A Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word–
think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food–
think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife–
think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life–
think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children–
think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep–
think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive–
think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job–
think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another–
remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down–
put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift – Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

Tell me now...when was the last time you did something nice just for the sake of doing it!

Happy "HUMP" day as it is so lovingly called! I pray your Wednesday has started out on a positive note and that you fly high all day today! It seems mine will be one of those hurry up and wait mornings, gotta love these tests in patience :)
This morning as I sit in wait for a grand adventure, I am once again amazed by the beauty around me, the skies are cloud filled, some gray and almost angry looking, some cotton ball, so clean a pure, there is a mass of color and the way the clouds are moving is just beautiful! The sun is trying to peak out ever so often but only to be covered by another band of passing clouds! We are at 57 degrees and very windy...without a jacket, to cool to sit out! Oh wait, I have my 'Betty "blankie" so life is gooooooood!
In prayer this morning, I prayed for all of my family and friends asking God to give you a break today, to allow your minds to rest a bit so that you can reflect on what is most important in your life, not the everyday trials and tests that you face, but the love, the goodness, the issues that make you smile! I asked him to bless each of you with your needs and to hold you in the warmth of his arms and allow you to feel hope and to catch a glimpse of the lighthouse on the other side of the storm. I prayed my usual morning prayers for health and healing, for resolve of issues, for lost souls and for renewed faith. When my prayer came to a close a picture I saw yesterday posted on facebook on my sweet aunt's page crossed over my heart! It goes with all that has been on my heart and the topic of my messages this entire week!
"You have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you!"
What power there is in this statement, what a wonderful meaning there is in these words...when was the last time you did something for someone with absolutely NO expectations? When was the last time you saw someone in need, knowing they could never ever pay you back but you gave from your heart just for the sake of giving? In our world, money is getting tighter and tighter, as the price of living rises our wages stay the same! Groceries, gas, utilities, clothing...it just keeps going up and up, paychecks stay the same so we are having to struggle to make ends meet, single family incomes are near impossible to live on..it is ugly out there in case you have not noticed! My dad was one of the biggest inspirations to me, if he had an apple he would give half to a person in need without expectation, if he saw someone in need he gave of himself for no "glory" but because he had heart. At his funeral this was mentioned and I felt so honored to hear these kind things said about him! God does not want us to go out and give our last penny and allow our families to do without but he does expect us to give when we have excess, to share when we can! I never used to look at homeless people with any care or concern, me not having learned the life lesson my dad taught, me being cynical would think, there are jobs out there, they should be getting a job not panhandling on the side of the roadway...me being hard in heart never offered anything! One day my daughter was with me and we saw a panhandler, she asked me to stop so that she could give him a dollar, I scoffed at her and said, "he probably has more money than you do, he makes his living taking from others!" she got really upset and what she said to me forever changed how I feel. "mom! maybe he does, that is something he has to live with, but what if he does not?" I thought about this and felt ashamed that I was "on the defensive" I did not have a clue about this person only that he appeared to be in need! Megan gave the dollar and the remainder of her day was beautiful, mine not so much!!! Don't let your children be the ones to teach you these life lessons, be the example to them. One of my greatest pleasures is being anonymous, I love to do nice things for others without them knowing, that is when our hearts are full. If you are doing something for personal gain...it is not as it should be...do it with love in your heart and anonymously when you can. There is no better feeling in the world! Today I am going to open my eyes more widely and am going to look for opportunity to do something nice for someone, especially one that I know can never repay me. If Jesus came to your door dressed as a poor, hungry person, would you turn him away or would you give him part of what you had in hopes that it would be sustaining to him? How do you know where Jesus is, do you not think he can come to you to check the content of your character, to see what really lies in your heart? I believe he can and since that day that Megan taught me the lesson..I have never strayed off of the path! Sharing is caring and caring is love! To all of those who have helped me in my life, I will never forget the deed, for those who I see helping others, I will never forget the deed! I love each of you and pray that today will be the day you open your eyes and give...give from your heart with no expectation of repayment! How about the yard you drive by each day that is in need of some TLC, does it belong to a person who cannot physically take care of it? Get off of the couch and help them out??? How about the single mom trying so desperately to feed her kids, to work, to be both mom and dad, is there nothing you can do today to help her out? How about the family who's dad just lost his job, what would a couple bags of groceries left on the doorstep mean to them?? How about the mom at the store trying to juggle her groceries and her kids, could she not use a hand in getting them loaded into the car? How about that car you just passed broken down on the highway, maybe they could use some assistance or even someone to sit with them until assistance comes...God gives us opportunity all day long, the question is...are you willing to take the opportunity or will you turn a blind eye and just keep living your life as it is now! Let us band together today and be what God needs us to be, what he has taught us all of our lives, let us be pleasing to him in showing that we have learned!!! God bless you with his love!
