Don't let this day go by without it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning and happy Wednesday, I pray your day is off to a good start and that you have at least laughed once this morning! Laughter is the best medicine!!!

In prayer this morning I thanked God for allowing me to pray for all of those who requested prayer from us, we stand ready any time to lift prayers and for you and yours and feel so honored when you come to us. I thanked God for all of the friends I have made over the past year and for all of the friends who have been so much joy to me throughout my lifetime. I asked God to bless you today with peace, calm, comfort and understanding and to present you with opportunity to laugh! I asked mercy and grace for all who are in need today and healing for those battling with illness and disease. I asked special blessings for those who are living in sadness and asked God to bless them with reasons of laughter, I asked special blessings on a friend who will be having surgery on Friday that she not be in fear, that she believe that this surgery will repair the problem once and for all and she be returned back to full strength. I prayed humbly and with great faith in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Laughter In the Rain

I had just knocked on Mrs Rosewood´s door when I heard her laughter in the rain. The doors to the garden opened right next to her little apartment and the sound of laughter had come from there.

She was just entering the building, waving a cheerful goodbye to someone from under her bright orange umbrella.

- Ah, I made it just in time it seems! she smiled and walked in, leaning to her cane.

I had her lunch in my trolley and waited
for her to open the door.

- There you go, she said and opened the door, - You may put the food on the kitchen table. I´ll warm it up in the microwave shortly.

I took her meal and carried it indoors. The route to her small kitchen took me through her living room. As before, I couldn´t help glancing at the pictures on her living room walls.

Other people living in this old people´s home had traditional landscape paintings or religious pictures on their walls. But not Mrs Rosewood. Her walls were filled with pictures of comedians. The Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, Jim Carrey, Leslie Nielsen, Steve Martin, Goldie Hawn.

- You are looking at my picture, I see, Mrs Rosewood´s cheerful voice came from behind my shoulder.

- Well, yes... Can I ask you why you have them there?

- Isn´t it obvious? I like to laugh! Look here!

The old lady opened the cupboard next to her television. I saw films, dozens of them. All comedies. No Casablanca, Gone With the Wind or any such old film. Only comedies.

- Now that is a bit unexpected, I said, - It´s a hobby of yours? Comedies, I mean.

- Not a hobby but a way of life, young man! she smiled.

I did not know what to say. She turned to push the window open and laughed. Again I head her laughter in the rain.

- I had very serious parents, she said, - Very religious. I was taught ever since I was a child that life was dire business and useless laughter took you nowhere. Nowhere good that is. Unfortunate for them I did no believe, she laughed.

- When I was a teenager I became acquainted with a neighbor of ours. She used to be a nun.

- Used to? This sounds interesting.

- Yes, a bit like Maria in Sound of Music, Mrs Rosewood smiled, - I asked why she was nun no more and she said it was too gloomy.

I talked with her and she knew what my parents thought about laughter and being happy. And one day she started talking about laughter.

"Mary, tell me how do you feel when you laugh."

I told her I felt happy.

"How do you feel when you know you are totally loved. Totally."

I wondered how could she know I was up to my ears in love with someone. But I answered her that I felt happy.

"And have you heard someone say God is total love?"

Well that was easy. I had sure heard it many times.

"Well tell me then - if someone is total love, totally made of love, how would he feel? Happy, of course. What do happy people do? They laugh. So if God is total love, you might expect God laughs a lot. Why then would laughter be bad?"

Now here was a question I had not thought about before.

"And tell me, Mary, why would it not work the other way around too?"

Mrs Rosewood turned into her kitchen and left me standing there. I waited for a short while and then had to ask.

- What did she mean by that?

Again I heard her laughter. In the rain, a blackbird was singing beautifully.

- I thought you´d never ask! she appeared back into the living room, - So I´ll tell you what she said.

"Dwelling in negative thinking and complaining about things are just ways to tell you don´t trust life can be good. In other words you are stating your distrust to your creator.

So think about it in such a way that you may search for happiness and laughter purposefully. It gets you closer to God, who is laughter, joy and happiness."

Now she used the word God, but if you are happier with some other term, no problem. She meant the creating force of the universe, Mrs Rosewood said, - Have to be careful with other people´s faith...

- Oh it is quite allright, I said, - God is good.

- Yes indeed, she smiled, - But that is when I started to find laughter on purpose. My parents did not approve and told me so. I was stubborn enough to continue. I bought funny books. I went to see funny movies. I wrote down the best jokes I found. And this week... Oh this is so much fun... I found out there is such a thing as laughter yoga! I´m going to try it next week!

- Yoga at your age... I started.

- Oh it is just laughter. Laughing on purpose, no one needs to bend themselves into a knot, Mrs Rosewood laughed, - And time has taught me I took the right road! I met my husband at a movie theater when I went to see a Goldie Hawn movie! Not to mention other friends I met through laughter.

She bent towards me.

- You see I am following the advice of the neigbor... I inherited that cross stitch picture from her.

I looked at the picture above her TV.

"The Purpose of Life is Joy" it said.

- She gave it to me shortly before it was her time to go to her maker and said: "Look at this and remember it. Always try to be the sound of laughter in the rain. Life is so hard to so many people it is like an eternally continuing rainy day. They are not happy. So you be happy, show them the way. Be the laughter in the rain for them. Be as happy as you can - only then you can spread happiness to others."

Even though twenty years have passed since that rainy day, I´ll always remember Mrs Mary Rosewood. We became good friends and she often invited me to watch funny movies with her. I met many of her friends and we spent many a laughter-filled evening together. There was a lot of laughter in the rain and in the sunshine.

When Mrs Rosewood died, she donated all her money to a local theater with the instruction the money was to be used to produce one comedy play per year. Guess what the first play was called? Laughter In The Rain.

To me she gave all her funny movies and pictures of her "funny people". I still have them hanging on my study walls - all faded with time of course, but just as valuable as ever. Their smiles haven´t faded at all.

And when I look at the cross stitch message "The Purpose of Life Is Joy" I always remember the first time I heard her laughter in the rain. And to honor her life´s work of bringing joy to the people around her, I try to be the sound of laughter in the rain to others as well.

Don't judge me please...~~Just love me~~~

Good evening! I pray that this day has been filled with love, joy and laughter:) It has been a wonderful day here, got to spend some wonderful time with my 2 g~babe boys, they always make me laugh and never cease to amaze me at how smart and funny they are! Gotta love the babes:)
I was in prayer this afternoon, just felt the need to have a conversation with him as I was having trouble dealing with people. I will never understand how people can go through life feeling like the world owes them something, feeling like for every good deed they do, they are owed something. I will never understand why we cannot do nice things for people without, as Wayde says, " them having an angle of what they will get in return" I was asking God for guidance and was impressed with the words...JUDGING...in a way~~~ I was judging them for their actions...yes he gets on to me sometimes when I am having a struggle and I need not sit there and judge anyone for their actions...I must just pray that they see the error and that they begin to realize the hurt they cause other! I have to let God handle their actions as I cannot change them..again I say, all I can do is pray for them!! If you get caught up in the judging phase of life...let it go, let God be the judge, he is the one and only judge! Let him do the bidding and you take the time to pray for the very ones who are causing you pain and anger! I love each of you and know that we all have struggles and we all have hurdles to jump, I am asking God to lay the hurdles down and allow us to step over them, to place a staircase on the side of the mountain so that we can climb with ease, I pray for you in all facets of your life and ask God to bless you abundantly:)
Have a wonderful evening everyone! Be safe and remember your life is very important to God!!!

" It will work out!!!"

Good morning and happy Saturday to you and yours! I pray that as you are getting up and out that this day will be one of great joy for you! I pray that a special prayer you have been asking will be answered for you this day and I pray that you recognize that all things are possible if only you as our Father in Heaven for his mercy and his blessing.
In prayer this morning... I prayed for you, I felt on my heart the need to give these world..."it will work out!" I felt him prompting me to talk a FAITH...we must hold fast to our faith, we must..in these last of days....prioritize, we must categorize, we must look deep inside of us and do what it takes to cleanse our spirit and our soul. God kept impressing upon me that I just needed to say " it will work out" I do not know who this is directed it, it may be for me, I know I have thoughts and feelings that I am in need of understanding and resolve. I am sure most all of us have issues that we are praying for...so I will be obedient and say once again "IT WILL WORK OUT!" I trust that God will make available this message to the one who is so desperately in need of this word. I ask that you pray with me many times today for those in the path of Hurricane Irene, prayers have already been answered with it being downgraded to a cat 1, but can still cause a multitude of damage. I ask God to be the shield the cities need to keep them from being destroyed.
Have a beautiful day and know that you are loved, you are appreciated, and that our Father in Heaven made this day for you, take his heed and do something that is pleasing to him,...share his love:)

As always please go to the comment section and feel free to let us know of any specific prayer requests you have, we stand ready to lift those in need in prayer many times this day! God is love, he is merciful and if we go through our savior Jesus Christ all of our prayers will be answered.

If someone makes a difference in your life, tell them....perhaps if you don't, they will never know!!!

Good evening, it is hard to believe that it is already Friday, the days seem to be flying by. It was a difficult day for me so all of the nice things that were said on my facebook page were in such good time. Try as I may I have not been able to get rid of this headache I have, one thing after another has been thrown at me and it seems I need to be an octopus to catch them all! Thank God I have Wayde, not only the love of my life, my forever partner but also a massage therapist and today I relented and let him give me a massage...what a way to "leave your worries at the office" he has the most wonderfully electric hands and can take any stress you are holding and turn it in to jelly. I am so blessed to have him in my world.:)
Today I have been humbled down to nothing, setting the negative aside..( I refuse to hold it in my hands and let it ruin the day the Lord has made for me) I received some of the most heart touching posts on facebook, when my day is overrun and I have to literally stop mid stream to keep this blog going...and I receive little to no feedback I begin to get discouraged....not from the lack of action on it but that maybe I am not receiving God's promptings the way he needs me to and that I am letting him down by not writing what someone is in need of. This week has been a week when I have felt like I really was missing the mark and I began to think about letting the blog fall to the wayside when boom this morning so many of you came to me and let me know that it does make a difference...thank you Father for allowing this perfect timing!
As I do off and on, I would like to spotlight a few people who are inspirations to me on a daily basis, I know that they are in my life for purpose and reason and the example they give of being true Christians is such a comfort to me and makes me want to walk a bit straighter! My daughter is one of my biggest inspirations, she is so filled with the spirit, so in tune with the love of God and so open to the Holy Ghost. She has been that way since she was a little girl, she has always possessed a love for people, mainly the elderly and special needs angels. She has a heart that is bursting with love for them, she is patient and kind, she is nurturing and gentle. Megan never meets a stranger and is always eager to give one of her beautiful smiles to everyone, her spirit radiates and is contagious to say the least. I am so very blessed to have had the opportunity to be her mother, and to be her friend. She is a grown woman now and I am so very pleased with some of the routines and practices she has instituted into her life. She is a wonderful person and I pray that each of you will have opportunity to know someone like her in your lifetime. I love you "daughter of mine" and praise the Lord each day for giving me the gift of "YOU"
Another person that I look at with wonder and amazement is a person I have only had the opportunity to meet but once, she is such an inspiration to me with her never ending spirit and her zeal for life. You know the saying, "when life gives you lemons...make lemonade" Well life has certainly given her a bushel of lemons and no matter how tart they are she seems to make the sweetest lemonade there is. She has been dealt an ugly hand, but has taken it in stride and continues to praise the Lord and keeps her eyes on the prize! Darla, you are amazing to me, you are a great mom, such a wonderful friend to Megan, a wonderful sister and a beautiful daughter to our Father in Heaven. I know that he has an amazing plan in the works for you and that you will receive an abundance of blessings for holding fast to the rod and allowing God to carry you when you cannot seem to find your feet. Thank you for allowing me to see that life is not about the hard knocks, it is not about the bad stuff, it is about overcoming and being stronger after the storm.
May this evening be filled with only good things for you and yours, may it be filled with reasons to "belly laugh" may it be an evening that makes the long, tedious week worthwhile. May this weekend be filled with rest and relaxation, with love and joy and peace and comfort. God bless you all, each and everyone, with his love:) In Christ, amen.

Just when you aren't looking, God slips someone in on you!!!!

Good evening, as another day comes quickly to a close I stand amazed at how fast the time is passing by!  CUTE STORY TIME: every once in a while something happens in my life that just merits being shared, I will from time to time I will share with you:) A week ago Wayde and I went to the park and had dinner, as we sat under the pavilion enjoying the quiet of the evening and enjoying each other a young man came up behind where we were sitting and began making finger gestures at someone across the park, he was just the cutest little guy and I felt the prompting to talk to him, I asked if he was flipping someone the bird and he sheepisly looked to the ground and said in a quiet little voice..."yes" I asked if he realized I had seen him doing this and again "yes" then he apologized. I did not want him to go away feeling embarrassed so I sparked up a conversation with him and soon we were in a really good conversation, we became "friends" he felt comfortable enough to sit down with us and really chat...I asked about school, his friends, his family, he asked me and Wayde questions and we just got to know one another... in talking about the flipping off thing I asked if he had a temper and did he get into fights to which he answered "yes" we talked about that and I gave him some words of wisdom to help him in getting through his anger...After about an hour he said he had to go and took his leave, I sat for a moment pondering him and thinking that he was a delightful young man, just a little mischievous as many 11 year old are. I really had enjoyed my evening:) Today as I was sitting under my big shade tree in the yard I head a young voice say, "hey, do you remember me?" I looked up and there he was, along with his twin brother and his step brother, he said "this is the lady I was telling you about, shes really smart and knows a lot of stuff, like what I told you about fighting, ask her she will tell you what you should do":) My heart was filled with happiness that he remembered me and that he had listened to the things we had talked about... his twin brother came closer to me and said, "my brother said you told him he can be anything he wants to be if he tries really hard!" I said "yes, I did tell him that" he then said to me, "can I be anything I want to be too" It humbled me to my knees, to see that a kid just needed that type of affirmation regarding his life!  We talked for a while and then the step brother asked, "can I ask you a question?" " of course" I said, he asked me if I went to church, then he asked me if he would not get to "float up to heaven" if he did not go to church... WOW, I was so excited to be able to talk to him about this. I helped him to understand about our Father in Heaven and in our savior Jesus Christ..after the little chat in which all three listened intently on what I was saying, I felt so very warm inside, my love for life got so much stronger and my love for our Lord and Savior filled my heart to full capacity! Funny how something like this can re- affirm that God's love can be shared just by striking up a little conversation, how we can be a positive influence in any situation...imagine, a flip of the middle finger go t this started and I have no doubt that I will have visits on a regular basis from my three new friends:) God is so amazing and I love living my life, I love the opportunity to meet new people and share with them my love of Christ! I love you for taking time to read my blog and for offering your prayers up for me and with me! God bless you this evening with something that tugs at your hearstrings  and allows you to feel his unconditional love!

Tonight I ask you to join me in prayer, so many are in need. Let us pray for those who are suffering, whether it be illness, whether it be finances, whether if be loss, fear, darkness, being alone. Father we come to you "on bended knees" we know that you know the desires of each of our hearts, that you have the book of our lives and you know the direction we need to be going, we know that your will be done but sometimes it is hard father, please give each of us the strength to hold fast to the rod, to keep our faith at an all time high and to give us courage to continue to believe in the whole of you. Father bless those who cry in sadness, in hurt, in heartache with a new found sense of you, lay your hands on each of us and give us the "thumbs up" in our hearts that this too shall pass and that as long as we allow you to guide us  we will be A OK, I love you so much heavenly Father, I confess this love to all and I stand tall in my faith. I ask mercies and graces from the depth of my heart and know that miracles can happen only by you. In the name of Jesus Christ, I lift these prayers, amen and amen again!

Until we meet again:)

Good morning and happy Saturday, it looks as if it will rain today, there is humidity in the air and our sky, although blue, is dense and beginning to fill with clouds! I pray those of my friends so desperate for rain will be allowed to sit and smell the wonderful smell it produces, will enjoy the rhythm on their roof tops and get out and dance a happy dance as it cleanses them and nourishes their dry and wilted lands!
Today is the day we will say a farewell to my little friend, Peggy Baker who went home to live with our Father in Heaven, although a sad day for me it is also a joyous day, she is no longer in pain and is singing with the heavenly quartet! I know that her spirit will be so strong in the memorial service as she touched so many of us with just her laugh, her jokes, her playful banter and her will to live! I pray that each of you will take time today to honor those you love, will take the time to give hugs and speak the words that seem to get lost in the shuffle, I LOVE YOU, it is a simple phrase yet it is one of the most powerful gifts that we have been blessed with. Life is short, we never know if we will have another day to spend together so we must confirm to those who are special to us, who make our lives a better, who stand by us when we are lost, who lift us up when we are weak. We must tell them often how much we love them and how thankful we are to be a part of their world. I love each of you so much, I thank you for the support you give me by joining me in prayer each day, by giving me the honor of lifting you and yours in prayer when you are in need and for giving me inspiration to keep on keepin on in God's footsteps. Bless each of you with your hearts desires today, may you feel his love in all that you do, may you follow his direction and serve him by spreading his message to those in your life. God is amazing, he tends us even when we do not know we need tended! Have a beautiful Saturday! I LOVE YOU:)

Can you forgive, really forgive and move forward?

Colossians 3:13, Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Good morning and a happy Thursday to each of you, we had a splendid day yesterday, our high was 83 the breeze was constant, the sun was shining and the sky was clear blue beautiful, what a blessing to behold in the last days of July, today looks to be much like yesterday! We are at 68 degrees right now and I am loving every minute of it, sitting out this morning chatting with our Father in heaven and singing praises to him for all that he does for us! He is AMAZING!!!!
In prayer this morning I asked God what he needed from me today, what avenue I needed to take to be best in serving him, who I needed to talk with, what I needed to say, how I could best please him. As I was praying over the request I received this morning, continuing to pray over the request I received this week, a person who has really hurt me kept coming into my thoughts. I allowed this person to wear me down, to really allow me to be angry and hold that anger, to really make me feel sick inside to think of just the name! I was so hurt by the actions and deeds done, I was so disappointed and hurt, hurt, hurt by the lack of honesty and the back stabbing that took place. I walked away and vowed never to look back, I took anger with me as I walked and to this day I have never been able to feel anything but loathing when I hear the name or see the face. As I continued on in prayer and the image continued to be in my mind I realized that I have some unfinished business to do, I realized that I cannot sit here and speak of unconditional love, that I cannot sit here and continue to speak the words that I feel in prayer as long as I am holding on to something so not pleasing to our Father in Heaven. I changed my direction in mid prayer and began to pray for me, for God to forgive me for holding on to anger, for holding on to something that my heart does no longer want to hold on to. I prayed for this person, I asked God to give me the ability to make contact and to let the anger go, let the hurt vanish and be who I need to be, a person filled with love and only love. I have pulled many weeds from my garden over the course of my life, but have never not prayed for them, I have had to walk away from people who would cause me hurt but always prayed that our Father in Heaven would help them to right themselves, I choose the people that I wish to spend time with, people who love themselves, love others and above all love God. Today I am going to take the hint that God is giving me, physically make peace with this person, wish them well in their endeavors, and release the evil that is dwelling in me. I am going to ask God to forgive me for holding on to satan's lead and I am going to know that I have learned yet another lesson in life, even though we walk away, we turn from those that hurt us we still must forgive them and ask God to bless them, then and only then have we progressed in that area, if you walk away but continue to hold the anger.....you will continue to have anger in your heart...our hearts need to be clean and pure. Give those that do hurt you over to God, give the anger, the disappointment, he pain over to him and let your hearts be clean. God bless each of you with strength, with power, with knowledge but most of all with love this day:) In Jesus' name...amen and amen again!
