YOU ask for it, HE will deliver it!!!!

Good evening and happy Sunday night, I pray that your day has been a great one, that you have had special time for yourself and that your "tank is full" Today has been a cold damp day here with snow off and on. We are forecast for more high winds tonight and tomorrow, please pray with me that the areas so ravaged by the winds on Thursday do not receive further damage. Millions of dollars of damage are being reported with some folks just getting power back this evening.

In prayer this night I am asking special blessings for a very sweet friend who has lost someone very special to her and her family, a young man with a wife and two children. I ask God to comfort them with calm and peace in their hearts and knowledge that His promise is at hand. May they rest in calm knowing that they are not saying goodbye, they are saying until we meet again because we all know that we shall meet again in paradise.  Another angel has earned his wings and will now be preparing a place for his loved ones as they join him when they are called home. I am sure he was greeted by those who have so eagerly awaited his homecoming and is now winged and soaring with the other angels. May his loved ones be blessed by his spirit being around them at all time, in their hearts and in their memories. I lifted prayers for you and yours asking God to bless you abundantly this week, to look at your needs and provide for you a plan to overcome your battles and struggles and to be able to lay down at night and rest in the knowledge that everything will be okay. Bless those overcoming strokes this week, two people that I have known for many years are fighting this war and are winning because of the power of prayer. I thank you Father for revealing to us the miracle of your healing hands. I ask that you continue to be our shield of protection against the adversary and we are so thankful that we can call upon You when he begins to try and take over and you push him back. I pray for those in the darkness, open your eyes and see those around you who carry the light of Christ, move toward them and allow their lights to shine on you, learn how you to can carry the light that you so desperately desire. I ask these blessings, these mercies and the favors in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
This story tonight is one like I have heard so many times, it is the answering of a plea!

I should have been happier.

It was three days before Christmas and I was driving alone on a country road in our small mountain community delivering home-baked cookies to shut-ins.

I had spent the last couple of days with church friends, mixing dough, shaping date balls, melting chocolate, baking dozens and dozens of several varieties of Christmas cookies. We had covered every surface in my kitchen with cookies, laughing uproariously at our own jokes, singing off-key.

I was having a conversation with my Lord about the death of my mother four months earlier. We had had this conversation before and each time the Lord had provided a measure of peace.

And yet, they surfaced again and again; the same questions. Over and over and over: "Why did my saintly mother have to endure so many years of mind-numbing pain before her death? Why don't I have peace about where she is at this moment? Why, Lord, why?"

I delivered all the cookies that were assigned to me, warmly greeting the shut-ins who had no inclination of the battle being waged within me. At my final stop, a lady, accepting a box of cookies, kissed me on the cheek and whispered "You're an angel, do you know that?"

I was hardly an angel and I knew it.

Back in the car, I drove a short distance, then pulled over next to an old, weathered split-rail fence and parked. No farmhouses were in view. I laid my head down on the steering wheel and wept. I missed my mother. This was my first Christmas season without her. I had no peace in my heart about where she was. I knew well the verse, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Still, I wept alone on that country road, unable to accept the peace that God was so willing to give me.

Finally, in desperation, and with no thought of Biblical precedent, I asked the Lord for a sign. A sign that He cared; a sign that He heard me; a sign that He loved me.

Wiping my eyes, I returned to our country home where I quietly prepared dinner for my husband. We were alone; our sons were married and living in another part of the state.

The next morning, while dressing for church, my husband turned quickly to me in surprise and asked, "Where on earth did you find it?"

"Find what?" I asked, straightening my skirt before the mirror.

"The ruby!" he replied. "Is that your ruby there on the bedspread?"

I rushed to the bed, picked up the ruby, held it close to my breast and began to weep.

A year earlier, my husband and I had celebrated an important wedding anniversary. My siblings, pooling their resources, had presented me with a lovely ruby on a simple gold chain. The next week, the stone had inexplicably come loose from its setting and was never found, leaving me distraught beyond reason.

I had searched for nearly a year, combing the carpets, checking our closets, looking in the most unlikely places for this ruby which had lovingly tied me to my siblings with umbilical strength.

And now, on this Sunday morning, the ruby appeared from nowhere in the center of our bedspread. More curiously, the bed had been made less than a half-hour before.

My husband, sensing my suspicion, placed his hands firmly on my shoulders and assured me that, as a Christian, he could affirm that he knew nothing about the ruby's whereabouts or how it ended up on our bedspread. Looking deeply into his eyes, I believed him.

I turned the precious stone over and over in the palm of my hand. How like God! He knew my flawed faith. He surprised me with joy.

There could be no other explanation.

And I sought none.

I BELIEVE!!!! Plain and simple...I BELIEVE

Good morning and happy Tuesday, no "evil" Monday's to get through so this week should be smooth sailing:) We continue to pray for all in in the path of the fires in Texas, all who have lost possessions, all of the animals who evacuated themselves and are now separated from their families, all of the ones who are facing evacuation today and who are so fear filled. We pray fervently for the firefighters who have worked so tirelessly to try and keep the fires for doing more damage in residential areas, they must be feeling so helpless at this time, being so under manned, running on little to no rest, feeling defeated as the fire like an army of many continues to spread from place to place. Father in Heaven, please hear the plea of the multitude who are coming to you for relief, I know that mass prayer produces miracles father and we are expecting a miracle, we are expecting the winds to lay still and the heaven to open the flood gates and allow the rains to fall upon these lands, to drench the fires and extinguish them, to put out every embers glow and to give all of these people affected, renewed hope and faith, Father be the strength that each firefighter needs to keep him alert and hydrated as he works to bring these fires to a controlled status. Father take each of the ones affected by the fires whether they be displaced short term or whether they have lost their possession, take them in your love filled arms and allow them rest from the fear they have been through and calm, in the knowledge that they can begin again, that you will carry them through the start over and be their general contractor until the rebuild is complet! I pray that all who have been in the fires path has not wavered in their faith and is holding fast to the rod, knowing that this is not of God, but God will right the wrong. I pray for these mercies and blessings in the name of the savior, Jesus Christ, amen!
As I sit out this morning, enjoying the 64 degree blessing, the sky which appears pale pink and lavender, the sun just topping the mountain, I can think only of all of the devastation that is happening around me, the earthquakes, the hurricanes, the tropical storms, the droughts, the fires, cancer, horrific accidents, critical cares, ICU's, death, heartbreak, financial ruin, governmental dismay, fear, terror, and the list of negative gets bigger and bigger with each passing day! I know that Father God is giving us proof that the end of days is nearing rapidly. There is no appointed day in the bible as to when the rapture will take place, but there is are signs in the book of revelation that each of us should be aware of, many of the signs happening all around us! I sat here praying and one feeling kept getting heavier and heavier on my heart, as I sat I began to cry, not a hopeless cry but an urgent cry...so many are in need of accepting Christ as their personal savior, so many are lost and confused, so many have questions as to the truth of the gospel, as to the validity of the bible, as to their belief of our Heavenly Father and the power of prayer. I pray today, right here and now, not to let another day pass me by that I do not share with someone who is filled with doubt, a truth in my life that keeps me forging forward in heavenly footstep, I will not for fear of being laughed at, chastised, or disliked, refrain from sharing what God has done in my life and how the power of prayer pulled me from the dark abyss that was my life and sat me among the spirit of the holy ghost, I will not remain silent...I will share, share, share in the faith that my words will touch a soul that is so in need of the savior. I beg you to join me in this venture, I implore you to look around you and identify those who are not familiar with our Father in heaven, take their hand and introduce them, offer to share with them the power of prayer, the miracles you have seen in your lifetime as proof that without God, your story could not be possible. We must be examples of Christ now, we must be examples of good, we must walk tall in our belief's and share them...Let this begin with you, and you, and you too. Today allow someone to see the good, the positive, the meaning of Christ and be ready to lift them in prayer so that they too will see the divine truth of God. Love in Christ to you!

Salvation Prayer - The Cornerstone is Christ?
What is the so-called Salvation Prayer? What do I do to get "saved?" At one point or another we all ask ourselves this question.

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."(Romans 10:9)

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" (John 3:3)

Salvation Prayer - Back to Basics
The Salvation Prayer is merely a road to rebirth in Jesus Christ. To be born again you must confess Jesus as Lord and believe that He is. When you ask Him into your heart, you are allowing Him to be the Lord of your life. Unfortunately, the Church today has complicated the Salvation message with various layers of extra "stuff."

So, let's get back to the basics!

A. Salvation is the "permission slip" to enter heaven when you leave this world.

B. Salvation takes place when a person listens to the salvation message, believes it, and makes a decision to receive Jesus into his or her heart.
Salvation Prayer - The Simple Steps:
1. Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.

2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

3. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.

4. Repent of your sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus.
Salvation Prayer - Merely a Tool to Communicate Our Faith
The Salvation Prayer is not a ritual based on specific words. This is not the power of a prayer, but the power of truly committing our lives to Christ as Savior and Lord. The following is merely a guideline for our sincere step of faith:

"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."

calling my friends in Christ, need for mass prayer for two close to my heart.

good evening, another long day for me, it seems I am making a habit of blogging later, sorry!  Tonight the first call to prayer is for two people close to my heart,  a young man very dear to me is suffering illness, it has not been diagnosed as of yet, he is suffering severe headache, high fever, confusion, unrest and pain! He is in route back to his home town as he works out of town, I pray that when he gets to the doctor it will be something simple, and he will soon begin to heal! The second is for a very dear facebook friend, she is suffering an infection to her leg that is not healing, she is in fear of possible amputation, please, please, please, my brothers and sisters in Christ pray with me for healing, for calm and for comfort in their healing, please heavenly father cover them with your loving hands and bring forth miracles in their bodies, make them whole, make them feel your spirit and your mercy. I ask that each of you continue in prayer with me for those suffering any illness, for those suffering depression, fatigue, stress, drama, for those suffering unemployment to find jobs,  for those allowing the everyday tensions of life to take away from their living. And always pray for our soldiers, give them comfort tonight in the knowledge that so many love them, that so many pray for them and that we will not quit until they are home. God we love you so much, we have faith that when we pray you listen and that you answer. I ask all of these blessings humbly in the name of my savior Jesus Christ, amen.

Prayer

At the Close of a Difficult Day

I am very glad, Dear Lord that my bedtime has arrived. God this has been such a difficult day for me to get through. My mind and body are so tired. It truly seems as though one problem after another has occurred today. But I was able to keep going, thanks to Your loving help. I need to rest now and to forget how trying this day has been for me. Do please bless me with a good night's sleep and when morning comes, let me feel refreshed and renewed. I pray that You will answer my prayer by making tomorrow a much better day for me.. I love You... Goodnight, Dear Lord.
