Can anyone tell me why there has to be "disappointment" in our lives, why do we have to get so close to something only to have it taken back??? I do know the answer, but sometimes it is a little easier to swallow when we hear it from others. I know God loves me and everything that happens in my life is his will, but it sure is hard somedays to keep on keepin on!
Prayer for Disappointment
Father, I pray for myself and others in my circle of family and friends who are struggling with challenges...
When we are disappointed that You haven't answered our prayers or haven't seemed to make any move to change things yet, forgive our impatience. Help us to live like the prophets of old, who were patient even when they had to suffer, and who didn't quit though they must have felt like it sometimes. Help us that I'm praying for not to quit either.(James 5:10–11a)
Help us to trust You and believe that You care, that You haven't forgotten us—and You won't! When trouble comes our way, when we are facing tests and challenges, help us be willing to thank You in all circumstances, difficult as that is.(Nahum 1:7a; Isaiah 49:15b; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Ephesians 5:20)
Help us to love You with all our hearts, souls, and minds, for You cause all things to work together for our good when we love You and are called according to Your purpose. Help us to realize that somehow You're fitting us into Your plans. Help our love for You to be as steadfast and unchanging as Your love for us is.(Matthew 22:37; Romans 8:28, 38–39)
May we never question Your love, knowing it was settled once and forever at the cross. (1 John 4:10)
In Jesus' name, amen.

Thanks Dawn. Today has been particularly challenging. Your message today helped me regroup my thoughts.
thank you for your message, I sometimes feel like I am the only one it is crashing down on, not happy that you had a bad day but so thankful that in my time of need it could help someone else! May tomorrow be a brighter day for you and may your faith keep you going when the world is filled with storms and woe!!! Love in Christ to you:)
