Prayer for our homeland Proud to be an American....

Brothers and Sisters in Christ I come to you tonight, twisted and torn from all of the horrible things that have been happening here on our own soil. It is bad enough that we have our soldiers on foreign lands who are under daily attack, it is bad enough that so many lives have been lost in trying to protect our freedoms and our lands...My heart is broken today, seeing all that has taken place on our home land this week. The senseless loss of lives, the many hours of manpower, the displacement of so many from their homes, the daily routine totally turned upside down because of evil and ignorance. I ask you to stop what you are doing at this moment and pray with me for our country, we have got to get this under control if we are to continue to have our freedoms and life as we know it...

Father God, we come to you tonight, hearts broken at the devastation that has taken place this week in our country, Father we have become a nation so lost and separated, we have become a nation where there is so much angst and ignorance, we have become a nation were fear has taken the place of the peace and comfort we have always known. We ask you now to bless our country, we are on bended knees, hands toward the heavens, crying out for you to cover us with the protection we need, we ask you to cover our country with your love and we ask for forgiveness for allowing those that would, to try and remove you from this sacred ground that we call home. Father bless our government and all of its entities that they might receive your light and might see with open eyes what is taking place, press down on them the urgency to come together as a unit and make decisions that will benefit the American people, allow them knowledge Father of what is needed to bring us back as a United Nation. Father we know we have done wrong, we know we have come to expect things, we know we have gotten lazy and have taken our home land for granted. We stand and call out to you for mercy Father, for grace, and for a healing of this country and  for the protection of all of our military forces, on foreign soil and home. We beg you to bring a halt to all the evil that is going on here, we pray with ferver for peace to once again be our symbol. Father bless the families who have lost their loved ones, bless the first responders who have battled so diligently, bless the fire fighters and the police officers   who have been taken in the line of duty, bless all the families who have been filled with fear of the unknown all week, bless them that they might find solace in your arms as they lay down tonight knowing that this threat has been captured and the blasts have been stilled, the fires have been put out and there is safety this night, bless all who are struggling trying to wrap their heads around what has just happened, trying to understand how there can be so much anger in this world. Father God bless each of us with a sense of peace and calm that only you can give. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask you to come back over our lands and make them clean and safe for all. Amen...
