The coming together of a country!

I have seen many posts asking, "where were you on 09-11-01" I really doubt there is a person alive who has the ability to remember who will say they do not know! It was a day that shook the United States, it was a day that will forever be etched in our minds, it was a day as Alan Jackson coins "when the world stopped turning" It was a day that changed us in so many ways! I first would like to say it has been 10 years since my dad passed, yes he passed during the time the planes were causing such devastation in our world...my dad was the ultimate VETERAN, he loved the USA and was a very active member of the VFW. He had served in the US Navy in World War II and was so proud of it and the fact that my baby brother had served as a US Marine. It was a blessing that he passed before he heard the news as I know it would have broken his heart to hear of the attack on US soil. I remember standing in the lobby of the hospital where I worked and silently sobbing! I do not think it really hit me until we were loaded in the car making our way from Utah to Texas, the radio was full of nothing but accounts of what was taking place in New York City, with each new account I cried harder! Really, really, REALLY, had this happened!
Today I come to you to join me in prayer for our country, there have been threats of terroristic attacks, I am sure as many stand to see their lost loved ones honored, a fear will be in them wondering when it is going to happen next, will it be today? Father be a shield of protection around the whole of these United States, bless each of us father with calm and comfort, allow peace of heart to flow through our veins and allow there to be a reverence during the ceremony so that each of those who have struggled harder every year on this day, might feel the spirit of their lost loves. Touch the heart of each of us Father that the terror of this day be softened in our memories and the coming together as a nation be stronger in our minds. We hear all of our lives that everything happens for a reason father, we do not understand the reason for this tragedy but we have faith in you, we cling to you for leadership and for knowledge, we trust that you will hold us and bring us through the storms father, allow those who struggle with faith due to this horrible day to feel your love in their hearts, allow them Father to have a new found peace and a realization that they will be united with the ones that died that fated day, that one day when we are in the heavens we will understand the meaning of September 11, 2001. I ask special healing upon each of our hearts today, in the name Jesus Christ, amen.

Today a precious little boy will be born into our world, he will have a birthday that will be forever remembered! This is the day my father went to be with God and this is the day God will send down a special spirit to gain an earthly body, to learn about Jesus, to walk in his footsteps and to learn about the good of the earth and people. As he comes into this world today, may he know that God has placed him in perfect arms, that he is leaving his heavenly home and joining his earthly family, a family who is worthy and warranted by God to tend him. May this family be blessed with only love, joy and happiness. God bless mommy and baby with a delivery without incident and a love that no one can ever take from them. Thank you father for replenishing us with new life. In Jesus beautiful name I ask these mercies, amen.

Another angel has earned her wings this day, she is now walking down the golden path to stand with Jesus and our Father in heaven, Father please bless those who are left behind with the knowledge that one day, when you call them home that she will be there at the gate standing, arms wide open, waiting to welcome them home! Bless their hearts with a calm understanding that you needed her there Father, that you had a special purpose that only she could fill. Bless them with comfort father, allow them to fall into your warm, loving arms, and to sit for as long as it takes for them to feel strength to stand, bless them with your calm and your love in all that they do! In Jesus beautiful name we pray, amen.
