Come and pray with me, SHARING IS CARING and we need lots of caring tonight!

Good evening and happy Wednesday night, boy am I having a hard time getting used to this new time change...it seems the days are so short now, I think I am missing daylight lasting longer, proof positive that I could never live in Alaska and have dark 6 month per year, I would go nuts:)
I pray this day has been a good one for you, that positive has been in every thing you have done and that you are now able to get a little rest and relaxation before bed! I invite you to pray with me this evening,  so many are in need of special prayer, so many are feeling overwhelmed with life right now, so many are feeling lost and so very alone, let us lift each of them in prayer asking God to give them comfort in knowledge that there is nothing he will not help them with if they allow him to! I ask God to calm their fears and renew their hope by blessing them with their needs. Please pray with me over those who will soon make their heavenly journey, calm them father, allow them to reach out to you and take your hand so that they are not scared in the transition, hold those here who will suffer the loss in your loving arms so that they are not scared and filled with fear, remind them of your promise that if we live according to your tenants that we will join them when it is our time to go home, remind them through the examples of others what these tenants are and bless them with people who will be inspirations to them in their quest to please you. Father be with me this night for all of my sweet friends who are suffering infertility, who are with child, who are just having babies and bless all of the new babies with so much love and such great care. Bless our youth father as they are plagued with peer pressure, allow them the strength to say NO when things are placed before them that they know are not good. Help them with self confidence, when they look in the mirror allow them to see what you see father, not what is on the outside but on the inside, protect them from bullying and from bad, bless the multitude of my friends who are struggling so with finances, allow them hope father, make a way for each of them to secure jobs and that the fear and stress off of them in paying their bills. Father please wrap your arms around those with broken hearts this night that they might be comforted and soothed by you, allow them the knowledge that this too shall pass, maybe not forgotten but managed so that they can move forward in their earthly quest. Bless those who are in the paths of the storms all over our country, be a shield of protection keeping them safe from the ravaging storms, bless our military with the knowledge that soon they all will come away from the war and be reunited with their families. God bless the USA, we need you back in the mix, we need you at the head of our country, we need your knowledge, we need your guidance, we need you in our government, we need you in our schools, we need you in everything we do. Please God...we need you! ....I ask mercy upon each of us, I ask for grace to be given us and I ask blessings in abundance...In Jesus' name. Amen.
Tonight I would like to share with you a story that I read this morning, it touched my heart so much, it made tears flow like rain and it showed me how very important it is for us to "be" in each person that we come into contact with, you never know when a single words, a simple smile, or just a hello will change the path a person is on. SHARING IS CARING...let each of us share and care!!!! God bless you all:)

Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again.

There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter:

Dear Ruth:

I`m going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit.

Love Always, Jesus

Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. "Why would the Lord want to visit me?

I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer."

With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets. "Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner." She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars and forty cents. "Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least!"

She threw on her coat and hurried out the door.

A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk...leaving Ruth with grand total twelve cents to last her until Monday.

Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm.

"Hey lady, can you help us, lady?"

Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn't even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway. A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags

"Look lady, I ain't got a job, ya know, and my wife and I have been living out here on the street, and, well, now it's getting cold and we're getting kinda hungry and, well, if you could help us. Lady, we'd really appreciate it."

Ruth looked at them both.

They were dirty, they smelled bad and frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to.

"Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself. All I have i s a few cold cuts and some bread, and I'm having an important guest for dinner tonight and I was planning on serving that to Him."

"Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway."

The man put his arm around the woman's shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley.

As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart.

"Sir, wait!" The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them. "Look, why don't you take this food. I'll figure out something else to serve my guest."

She handed the man her grocery bag.

"Thank you lady. Thank you very much!"

"Yes, thank you!" It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that she was shivering. "You know, I've got another coat at home. Here, why don't you take this one." Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders. Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her coat and with nothing to serve her guest.

"Thank you lady! Thank you very much!"

Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door, and worried too. The Lord was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him.

She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox.

"That's odd. The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day." She took the envelope out of the box and opened it.

Dear Ruth:

It was so good to see you again. Thank you for the lovely meal. And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat.

Love Always Jesus

The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed.
