STOP!!! Will you take a moment to pray with me???

Good evening and happy Saturday night, it has been a cold and wet day today, rain and snow off and on, about an inch of show on the ground now and the night wind is so cold it will cut right through to the bone.  It is already 32 degrees out with a wind chill of 24 degrees and will only continue to get colder throughout the night. I am so happy I do not have to be out in the elements, so very thankful for a warm home!
Tonight I invite you to pray with me,  as I say each day, there are so many who are in need of the light of Christ, so many in need of the healing hand of our Father in Heaven, so many in need of renewed faith, so many in need of the heart warmth of God's hug. Let us get "on bended knees" and ask God for mercy for those who are in need, for grace and forgiveness for those in need, for peace, calm and comfort for those in need. God you know us, each and every one of us, you above anyone else know the struggles in our lives, the areas in which we need guidance, please take us into your arms and grant us our needs, help us in the areas we are most lacking and continue to bless us in the areas where we are most strong, lead us into the paths of those who we can benefit and let others who can benefit us with their faith into our paths. As we make ready to celebrate the Sabbath tomorrow allow us to sleep with peace and with beautiful dreams, allow us to rise up in the morning filled with your spirit and let your light shine through us so that others can see the light and if they are in the darkness they will come to us for inspiration, for up lift and for example! Give us strength to stand strong against the adversary this week father, let us fill out tank tomorrow and know that we have you in us to keep us running down the right road. I love you so much father, I ask these blessing and mercies upon each of us and I do all of this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Friendship Quote for Friday Night

We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over.
Samuel Johnson ~

Come and pray with me, SHARING IS CARING and we need lots of caring tonight!

Good evening and happy Wednesday night, boy am I having a hard time getting used to this new time change...it seems the days are so short now, I think I am missing daylight lasting longer, proof positive that I could never live in Alaska and have dark 6 month per year, I would go nuts:)
I pray this day has been a good one for you, that positive has been in every thing you have done and that you are now able to get a little rest and relaxation before bed! I invite you to pray with me this evening,  so many are in need of special prayer, so many are feeling overwhelmed with life right now, so many are feeling lost and so very alone, let us lift each of them in prayer asking God to give them comfort in knowledge that there is nothing he will not help them with if they allow him to! I ask God to calm their fears and renew their hope by blessing them with their needs. Please pray with me over those who will soon make their heavenly journey, calm them father, allow them to reach out to you and take your hand so that they are not scared in the transition, hold those here who will suffer the loss in your loving arms so that they are not scared and filled with fear, remind them of your promise that if we live according to your tenants that we will join them when it is our time to go home, remind them through the examples of others what these tenants are and bless them with people who will be inspirations to them in their quest to please you. Father be with me this night for all of my sweet friends who are suffering infertility, who are with child, who are just having babies and bless all of the new babies with so much love and such great care. Bless our youth father as they are plagued with peer pressure, allow them the strength to say NO when things are placed before them that they know are not good. Help them with self confidence, when they look in the mirror allow them to see what you see father, not what is on the outside but on the inside, protect them from bullying and from bad, bless the multitude of my friends who are struggling so with finances, allow them hope father, make a way for each of them to secure jobs and that the fear and stress off of them in paying their bills. Father please wrap your arms around those with broken hearts this night that they might be comforted and soothed by you, allow them the knowledge that this too shall pass, maybe not forgotten but managed so that they can move forward in their earthly quest. Bless those who are in the paths of the storms all over our country, be a shield of protection keeping them safe from the ravaging storms, bless our military with the knowledge that soon they all will come away from the war and be reunited with their families. God bless the USA, we need you back in the mix, we need you at the head of our country, we need your knowledge, we need your guidance, we need you in our government, we need you in our schools, we need you in everything we do. Please God...we need you! ....I ask mercy upon each of us, I ask for grace to be given us and I ask blessings in abundance...In Jesus' name. Amen.
Tonight I would like to share with you a story that I read this morning, it touched my heart so much, it made tears flow like rain and it showed me how very important it is for us to "be" in each person that we come into contact with, you never know when a single words, a simple smile, or just a hello will change the path a person is on. SHARING IS CARING...let each of us share and care!!!! God bless you all:)

dear ruth
Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again.

There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter:

Dear Ruth:

I`m going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit.

Love Always, Jesus

Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. "Why would the Lord want to visit me?

I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer."

With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets. "Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner." She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars and forty cents. "Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least!"

She threw on her coat and hurried out the door.

A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk...leaving Ruth with grand total twelve cents to last her until Monday.

Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm.

"Hey lady, can you help us, lady?"

Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn't even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway. A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags

"Look lady, I ain't got a job, ya know, and my wife and I have been living out here on the street, and, well, now it's getting cold and we're getting kinda hungry and, well, if you could help us. Lady, we'd really appreciate it."

Ruth looked at them both.

They were dirty, they smelled bad and frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to.

"Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself. All I have i s a few cold cuts and some bread, and I'm having an important guest for dinner tonight and I was planning on serving that to Him."

"Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway."

The man put his arm around the woman's shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley.

As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart.

"Sir, wait!" The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them. "Look, why don't you take this food. I'll figure out something else to serve my guest."

She handed the man her grocery bag.

"Thank you lady. Thank you very much!"

"Yes, thank you!" It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that she was shivering. "You know, I've got another coat at home. Here, why don't you take this one." Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders. Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her coat and with nothing to serve her guest.

"Thank you lady! Thank you very much!"

Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door, and worried too. The Lord was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him.

She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox.

"That's odd. The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day." She took the envelope out of the box and opened it.

Dear Ruth:

It was so good to see you again. Thank you for the lovely meal. And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat.

Love Always Jesus

The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed.

At the end of the day, will you join me and pray????

Good Thursday evening,
I pray that this day has been fulfilling for you, that you have faced the adversary head on and allowed God to be your shield against any negative that might have tried to take you positive! It has been a chilly day here, my bones are aching like crazy and my heart is heavy missing my baby girl! I have days such as this when it seems tears flow easily and my heart aches to hold her in my arms and allow her to feel my love. It always seems the closer to time for me to see her the more lonesome I get for her! Soon, very soon I will be there with her and giving her lots of hugs and kisses!
Tonight I ask that you get "on bended knees" with me and lift prayer for those who are so in need, me included! I am sure each of us is now or has been affected by a person suffering illness, let us ask God together to give them relief this very moment, let their minds drift to a place and time when there was no fear, no sadness, not pain..only love, joy and laughter. So many are suffering depression now, our world is in such disarray, jobs are at an all time low, prices keep soaring and pay stays the same, many are laying in wait wondering if they will be able to make their bills this month, many losing their belongings, many even wondering where their next meal will come from, ask God with me to stop this madness, to overtake the ones who are pressing us down and allow us hope of better times. So many are turning to drugs and alcohol as means of numbing themselves from the problems in their lives, I ask our Father in heaven to allow them to see what they are not only doing to their bodies but also to their loved ones, give them strength father to overcome,  lift their heads high and find what has been lost in their lives. Father for those who are struggling with rehabilitation for body and mind, allow the strength to win the battle, let them stand when they think they cannot and let them move forward with each treatment. Bless our soldiers father, bring each and every one of them home safely and never allow one of them to feel anything but proud for being of such great service to our country. Father for the ones struggling with loss of a loved one, allow the veil to be thin so that they can feel the spirit of the one who has gone home and allow the spirit to comfort them and calm their fears, let the spirit assure them that they are in paradise with you and that they must hold fast to their faith so that they can return when it is their time. Bless my daughter and my unborn grandchild father, provide them with strength and health. Father I have had so many prayer request today for special specific prayer, thank you so very much for allowing me to feel your love. Father I ask you to bless all of those who come to this sight and pray with us, bless all of those who come and read these words that they might find inspiration and know that they are not alone in their quests for inspiration. I love you Father with each and every beat of my heart and I thank you for your unconditional love and for the sacrifice you made so that I might have everlasting life. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask for mercy, peace, calm and comfort, amen.

"Hope is a thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all.
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity
It asked a crumb of me." -- Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886)

Did I lose or did I win?

Hip, hip, hooray..it is Tuesday night and of course I am excited for Biggest Loser and to see who is voted off of DWTS...thinking I would like to see Chas go, he is just not cutting the mustard for me! Still loving JR:) What a beautiful spirit and winning attitude he possesses!
Well it is week number 2 on the diet for me and I am pleased to say, I did not gain any and I lost...
Drum roll! I still have a long way to go but this combined with last weeks 6 pounds, I am 13 pounds closer to my goal!
I come to you this night and ask you to pray with me, this morning I talked about the redundancy of prayer, how it seems that I pray the same exact prayer each night! Well I guess I do, although the words may be much alike day in and day out...the people I pray for are much different, when people come to me with prayer requests I take it dead level serious...I try to feel what that person is going through, I try to allow my heart to suffer as that person is suffering and I fall on my knees and I PRAY, I PRAY, and I PRAY!!! So when you come to pray with me each night, please see the person you are praying for , when I ask God to offer healing hands for those suffering illness, rehabilitation, depression, anxiety, addiction...join with me and see the people in your life that you know are in special, specific need and in asking for these blessings do it with them in your mind! The same with those who are lost, who feel that God has stepped away from them, those who have wronged you, who have made you cry...see them and pray for them. God is good all of the time, and God knows who we are praying for, he reads our hearts and he answers our prayers according to that, we don't have to say names...he knows!
Father in Heaven, I bow my head humbly  and ask you to bless those in need tonight, to provide us with peace in our minds with knowledge that no matter what we are going through that you are here with us, that you will make a way as long as we reach our hand out to you and believe that you will catch us, that you will be our strength...Father, provide us with calm of heart that we feel your love in all that we do, that we know that you made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can have eternal life, and lastly provide us with comfort in our spirits, the comfort that we need to speak of you from our hearts and to share our relationship that we have with you! So many are in need father, please lead us to where we need to be and give us opportunity to share you..in Jesus name I ask these blessings, mercies and favors, amen.
I know that my redeemer lives, I know that he is coming back to collect us and I know that I do not want to be left behind, I will walk each day to the best of my ability in his footsteps and if I should waiver off course I will reach out for his perfect hand to gently lead me back on track. I love God with all of my being and vow that as long as I have breath in my body I will honor him!  God bless each and every one of you!

Why do we say the same old prayers every day?

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I pray this message finds each of you "up and at em'" this morning! I have been up for a while this morning, sitting outside for a while but it got to chilly so I am back inside in the warmth of this house! Our skies are very hazy and gray this morning, the wind is just on the verge of being strong and gusty and it is 41 degrees...brrrrr with the wind:)
This morning as I said my prayers for health, healing, faith, mercy and grace I began to think, do people get tired of the same prayers day in and day our, does it become routine? As I sat there praying, when i asked God to bless those struggling with health issues, I thought about those that I know are, I allowed images of their faces flash before me, the same with those rehabbing, those who are struggling with addiction, those in the dark and are searching for goodness, those who don't even realize they are in the dark, those who have depression, I allowed names and faces to flash in my mind for the ones who are pregnant, for unborn babies, for people suffering financial issues. I did not speak literal names, but I know God knows the troubles of each of us and I know that he feels who I am referring to. I was asked if I get tired of praying the same prayer each day...my answer was NO, we need prayer, we need to pray for those who are in need..just because the words are much the same each day does not mean it is said without thought! When I ask you to join me each day, as you are saying the prayer you are thinking of the ones in your life that "fit" into each category, when you think of them and say the prayer you have prayed for them, God does not need names, we are his children and he knows our special, specific needs! I thank you for supporting our circle of prayer and for coming each day and praying with us!
Please excuse me for being late with this today, I have been working on it for almost 2 hours but have taken a break to chat with a dear friend on the phone who was in need of "a shoulder" thank you Father God for allowing me the honor of being able to calm her sadness.
Today I pray for you that if someone is in need of you that you will take the time to be "the shoulder" be it!
Love in Christ to each of you and know that you are so loved and so appreciated! God bless you and yours!

1 thessalonians 5:17..."Pray without ceasing" Lets do this!!!!

Hello and happy Biggest Loser Tuesday, I love this show and am so inspired by the effort the contestants put in! What grit then all have and what a story each of them have to tell!
I pray this day has been filled with so much love and joy and that no matter what obstacles you have encountered that you told them your God can lead you over the hurdle and up the side of that mountain straight to the top! I pray that you know that no matter how bad the storm gets that you have the biggest and brightest light house guiding you in to safe harbors! Life is what we choose to make it, life is attitude and gratitude! When we rise up in the morning we need to thank our Lord for another day and then we need to give our all at being the best we can be, let us not allow negative forces to drain our positive, if you are being sucked in by negatives....turn and walk away! Don't let anyone take your grace, your character or your spirit!
Tonight I invite you to pray with me, pray for the sick, the ones in rehab, those in treatment, all of the unborn babies, all of the new babies, for those struggling with infertility,  all of the ones suffering financial issues, all of those struggling with depression, struggling with unruly children, those struggling with personal faith and belief. I have several special specific prayers if you would join me, a granddaughter of a dear friend in Christ who was hit by a car suffering brain trauma, in ICU, another friend who's daughter was hit by a car some time ago who has struggled with paralysis and many internal problems, a sweet facebook friend who is struggling to hold her unborn child for another 8 weeks, my sweet friends daugher who went through emergency appendectomy a few days ago, the Brandon in my comments yesterday who was really struggling with life issues, my friend Ildiko's daughter who has head trauma due to a dive, so many are in need, another long time friend who's sweet baby girl was born 7 weeks early and is only 2 lbs 6 ozs. another friend who's son is struggling with drug addiction and one struggling with school and obedience,  Father hold each of these in your loving arms, hold them with your healing hands, give knowledge to the physicians. Father, allow your strength to be the strength needed to weather the storms and to pull through, father allow your love to provide peace calm and comfort in all aspects of life here on earth. Allow your blessings to be in abundance for all of those we are lifting to you this day; so that they can give the best treatment possible. Raise your hands to the heaven with me if you will and pray for all of these issues, pray with true intent and with faith that if it be our heavenly Father's will, that miracles will occur and by his hands healing will take place! We love you so much Father and we know you will for us to be the best that we can be, please in the name of our savior, Jesus Christ, bless each and every one of us with our needs father, you know us by name, you know us by our hearts, and you know where we struggle, lead us and guide us so that we can return home one day! God bless each of you  and thank you for always standing in agreement with me in my requests for prayers!
