Good morning and happy Tuesday! I pray this message finds each of you "up and at em'" this morning! I have been up for a while this morning, sitting outside for a while but it got to chilly so I am back inside in the warmth of this house! Our skies are very hazy and gray this morning, the wind is just on the verge of being strong and gusty and it is 41 degrees...brrrrr with the wind:)
This morning as I said my prayers for health, healing, faith, mercy and grace I began to think, do people get tired of the same prayers day in and day our, does it become routine? As I sat there praying, when i asked God to bless those struggling with health issues, I thought about those that I know are, I allowed images of their faces flash before me, the same with those rehabbing, those who are struggling with addiction, those in the dark and are searching for goodness, those who don't even realize they are in the dark, those who have depression, I allowed names and faces to flash in my mind for the ones who are pregnant, for unborn babies, for people suffering financial issues. I did not speak literal names, but I know God knows the troubles of each of us and I know that he feels who I am referring to. I was asked if I get tired of praying the same prayer each day...my answer was NO, we need prayer, we need to pray for those who are in need..just because the words are much the same each day does not mean it is said without thought! When I ask you to join me each day, as you are saying the prayer you are thinking of the ones in your life that "fit" into each category, when you think of them and say the prayer you have prayed for them, God does not need names, we are his children and he knows our special, specific needs! I thank you for supporting our circle of prayer and for coming each day and praying with us!
Please excuse me for being late with this today, I have been working on it for almost 2 hours but have taken a break to chat with a dear friend on the phone who was in need of "a shoulder" thank you Father God for allowing me the honor of being able to calm her sadness.
Today I pray for you that if someone is in need of you that you will take the time to be "the shoulder" be it!
Love in Christ to each of you and know that you are so loved and so appreciated! God bless you and yours!
