Good morning and happy Tuesday to each of you! I pray this day has been a good one thus far and that it only gets better as the day grows longer. It is a rainy, cold 38 degrees here this morning with a chance of snow this afternoon! Not only is it raining here but also in my heart as my baby gets her first ultrasound today and I am not there to see the first pictures of the baby! For the last four days my body has hurt so badly that I could not even imagine traveling, I go from the chair to the bed to the chair and back to the bed...hopefully now that the storm as busted through the pain will minimalize and I will be back in action!
Prayers have been answered as the news has just been brought to my attention that the one we prayed for last night has transitioned into paradise, his battle is now won, he has made it through the gates and is now walking the golden road at the right side of God. Please pray for the family as they settle in their hearts that he will no longer be with them physically and allow them to know that he will always be with them in spirit! Allow his spirit to cross over them so that they know his journey is now complete, that he has passed the tests and is now in back home! In prayer this morning I prayed my usual morning prayers and was just sealing them up and lifting them to Jesus Christ for special delivery to God when a message crossed over my heart...it was such a strong message that it could have knocked me off of my feet has I been standing! Patience...Patience...Patience....it was loud and clear that our Father in Heaven needed me to write on PATIENCE. I sat for a while and asked him, what do I need to write, what do you need me to see. As many of you know I am not the most patient person in the world and I think the message may be for my benefit this morning, I so want to be in Kansas right this very moment, I want to be sitting there looking at the ultrasound screen with my kid, I want to feel better, I want for my bones to not hurt, I want to lose the rest of this horrendous weight, I want, I want, I want....I know everything happens in God's time and I know that I must wait for "things" to happen when he is ready for them to, not when I want expect them....:UPDATE: My Megan just called, she is done with the ultrasound and all is well with she and the baby, is 1 week less than what she thought, but the little heart was beating just right and the baby was actually very active...I am so excited and thanking God for answered prayers for health and strength for them both.
I pray that this day will be filled with only good things for you and yours and that if you are like me and struggling with PATIENCE that you will read the following scriptures and that they will give you some rhyme and reason as to why we must wait and allow all things to happen in his time. God bless each of you with what you need this day and know that you are loved and appreciated.
James 5:7 - Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.
James 5:8 - You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.
1 Peter 2:20 - But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.
Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Hebrews 10:23 - Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Matthew 24:13 - "But he who stands firm to the end will be saved."
Hebrews 6:12 - We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews 10:36 -You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
Romans 5:3 - What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?
Romans 5:4 - Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge."
