A Special Prayer for those suffering at the hand of domestic abusers....

A Prayer for Shelbie and all who are affected by domestic Abuse
A special prayer for all who are going through abuse and suffering.
May God, help you to see things as they really are, not as you would have it. May He help you to forgive yourselves as you have forgiven them, to love yourself as you have loved them.Father God Help them to know what love really is that it may take root in their heart and that it may bear fruit for others to also find their way. Let them not think that love is being able to give everything even if it hurts! Allow them to know that love, even if it may hurt sometimes should never be at the expense of self-respect and dignity; love, even if it may entail sacrifice should never be at the expense of being shattered and broken. Help them find their way O God. Truly they have a long way to go and a great many more battles to face, guide them to begin now God, to begin with your forgiveness and your love, to begin with your providence and healing. Help them through it all O Lord and one day soon, I know they will be able to see that radiant and beautiful person once again. In the name of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Ladies true love, if it is true indeed always brings wholeness and peace, and bears the fruit of goodness upon all who give and receive it. Love is not a matter of control or manipulation. Love is an invitation and a gift that can only be received with openness and a grateful heart. Look for those who are there for you, those who unconditionally love you and those who will protect you from harm. Look to the heavens and know that our Father in heaven is but an outstretched hand away.

1 Corinthians 13. This is what love is. Couldn't help but think about that while I was reading your beautiful prayer.CB

yes indeed, this is one of my favorites and one I live each day of my life....Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
