My daughter...almost a mommy!!

Good morning and happy Friday, whew...we made it another week we have achy bones from our sleeping arrangements, but we have each other, we have all of our animals and we have love, a strong, deep, wonderful, stand by each other love. I am blessed, so very blessed to have Wayde to stand beside me and to love me no matter what comes our way.

In prayer this morning I quieted my mind, sat in the silence and had a wonderful chat with out father in heaven, I began to cry, looking around at my environment, looking at the fact that here I am 50 years old with nothing to show for it. I thanked God for the wonderful lessons I am learning and for the hardship I have been dealing with as of late, I feel strong and I now know that no matter what happens in my lifetime that I can get through it, I can jump over any obstacle in my way, I can climb any mountain, I can OVERCOME and still have faith in my heart. I ask God for healings for all of those in need, that if it be his will to take the ill of body and give fresh new healed life. I asked God to bless each of you with his peace, calm, comfort and unconditional love and I asked all of these mercies, favors and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

All I can say is I lOVE YOU MEGAN!!!

My daughter  "almost a mommy"

My daughter will be having her first child, my first grandbaby in about a month. I couldn’t be more proud of her. She is no longer the little girl I once pushed on a swing and taught to ride a bike. She has become a wise, mature, giving, caring, and loving adult. She has learned so much and is ready to start the rest of her life.

I think the things I am most proud of her learning, are the ones she learned through living her life. My daughter already knows things that it took me much longer to learn. She knows that money can’t buy or even rent happiness. She knows that you never rise higher than when you stoop to help up another. She knows that laughter exercises the lungs and love opens up the heart. She knows that a good cry isn’t a bad thing. It washes out your eyes so you can see more clearly. She knows that petting a dog warms your heart and hugging a friend uplifts your soul. She knows that doing what you love and loving what you do turns work into play. She knows that children are life’s most precious gift and that every child should be treated with gentleness, kindness, and love.

My daughter knows that life often isn’t fair, that society often isn’t wise, and that everyone of us will face our share of problems. She also knows, however, that with love in our hearts we can bring learning, laughter, and joy to even the toughest days. She knows that true faith brings us closer to God’s love and never seeks to judge or hurt another. She knows that life is a journey taken on a rocky road and that sometimes we stumble and fall. She knows too that we can pick ourselves up each time and even help someone else up as well. Most of all she knows that she is still learning, just as we all are. May she always know too just how much I love her.

Which of these gifts can you give today?

Good morning my friends, it is so very good to be back for as long as I might be able to. I am so thankful that you all have blessed me with hanging around until I could figure out a way to have internet to do what I love to do...BLOG!!!

In prayer this morning I continued to thank God for his blessings to Wayde and I, it has been a hard time but we know that God does have us in his hands and will not allow us to fall, we slip....boy do we slip...but always before the crash somehow, someway, God provides us with the net of safety. I thanked him for each and every one of you who continue to support me in reading my blog and who so generously lift us in prayer. I asked God to continue to bless each of you with your needs and to allow you to feel his abundance of love that he has just for you. I asked special blessings for a very special man in my life that he might have strength and that the blood clots in his leg be healed. I asked him to bless my friend Taylor who never ceases to amaze me with her kindness and her love. I continue to pray for Wayde and I to find a place to lay our heads and to lay a shelter of comfort for my animals who have been through each step that we have been through and still seem to be filled with happiness. Father take each of us into your love filled arms and allow us to know that no matter our problems that you are working through them with us, allow us to know that we are not alone and that with faith and perseverance we shall never fail...we are winners and will continue overcoming with you at the head of our lives. We love you Father and thank you over and over again for loving us. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask for mercy, blessings, grace, and always love. Amen.

Which of these gifts can you give today...I am going to work on giving all 8...thats right, lets all reach for the heavens by giving!!! I love each of you and would love to hear what happens when you  begin to give these gifts!!!

Eight Gifts That Don't Cost A Cent

This simple checklist can help measure how you are nurturing your relationships. The author of these thoughts is unknown, but deeply appreciated.
The Gift of Listening
But you must really listen. Don't interrupt, don't daydream, don't plan your response. Just listen.

The Gift of Affection
Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and handholds. Let these small actions demonstrate the love you have for family and friends.

The Gift of Laughter
Clip cartoons. Share articles and funny stories. Your gift will say, "I love to laugh with you."

The Gift of Solitude
There are times when we want nothing better than to be left alone. Be sensitive to those times and give the gift of solitude to others.

The Gift of a Favor
Every day, go out of your way to do something kind.

The Gift of a Written Note
It can be a simple "Thanks for the help" note or a full sonnet. A brief, handwritten note may be remembered for a lifetime.

The Gift of a Compliment
A simple and sincere, "You look great in red," "You did a super job," or "That was a wonderful meal" can make someone's day.

The Gift of a Cheerful Disposition
The easiest way to feel good is to extend a kind word to someone.
These are eight important ways we can contribute toward whole and healthy relationships. They cost nothing, yet they may well be the most valuable gifts we can ever offer another.

Can anyone tell me what Jesus folded the napkin?????

Happy Easter every one...."HE IS RISEN" yes indeed He has!!!! As I sit reflecting on this day and what it means...I sit and think "I am not worthy...I am not good enough for him to have been hanged to death and then placed in that tomb...I am not worthy of this sacrifice...BUT evidently He knows more about me than I do myself, He died for my sins, He died so I might have life, He died for me....Yes Jesus loves me, therefore I shall walk all of the days of my life here on earth in his footsteps, I shall strive to be all that he wishes me to be and I shall never deny my love for him.

In prayer this morning I bowed my head in humility thanking God for what this day means, for what we celebrate, for all that he has done for me, for all that continues to do for me and for all that he has promised as long as I hold fast to my faith and have pure love in my heart. I thanked him for the beautiful blessing of each of you who come and share in prayer with us each day. I thanked him for the miracle of my amazing daughter, my love and life...and for allowing me to feel the kind of love that only a parent can feel, for thinking of the great sacrifice he made and knowing if it had been up to me that I could never have even come close to this sacrifice with my child. I thanked him for the gift of my unborn grandson and I asked special favor over him that he might be raised with knowledge that he is loved, he is favored, he is blessed and he is the son of God and the brother of Jesus Christ. I asked God to bless each of you this day with quiet reflection to its meaning, that you might take time to spend in heart felt conversation with our Savior and that you might feel only his love. I asked for mercy, grace, favor and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
O God, who for our redemption gave your only-begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the power of our enemy: Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this....

The Gospel of John 20:7 (YLT) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.

The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.

Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.

She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'

Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see... The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!
Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this
Tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he

Made sure that it
Was exactly the way the master wanted it.

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.

Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table,
Because.........

The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

He is Coming Back!

God delights to answer my prayer.

Good morning and blessings to each of you. I pray your day is going well and that you are filled with love and joy this day. Don't forget to give some love away!

In prayer this morning I bowed my head and asked God that each of us be shielded by his protection, I asked him to bless each of us with his love and his grace and to provide comfort and calm in all of our actions. I have a very special friend who came to me last evening in need of prayer for her friend......Dawn, i need a prayer for a dear friend of mine who recently had a liver transplant and is having some problems, it was suggested i ask you to send out your blog for many prayers for my dear friend, i cry as i write this. please pray and many thanks!
I did a prayer warrior call to prayer on my facebook last night and am so very thankful for the response we had, I ask all of you who are reading this to continue to pray with us this morning..... If you all would join me in asking our Father in heaven to lay his healing hand upon her, to take the problem that is going on and renew the liver. Father we come to you asking for mercy, favor and healing for this lady, we ask that you allow her your strength to fight a fierce battle, your calm to allay her fears, your comfort to keep her from pain and your will to push through and to live a long and healthy life. Father we ask that you wrap a blanket of love around all who are standing by with fear and anguish watching their loved one go through this, allow them to know you are with her at all times and that your will be done. We ask these mercies, favors, and grace in the name of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Anxieties Make a House Call

This morning at 2:00 a.m. my anxieties decided to pay me a visit. They came as a group. They didn't even bother to knock at the front door, but let themselves right in. They marched right up to my bedroom and woke me up.

One by one, they began to scream at me, "What are you going to do about this and that? Isn't it terrible? There's no way out. You're surely done for, aren't you? Have you thought about this?"

It was at this moment that I knew I had one of three options. I could continue to lie on my bed and entertain these intruders, passing out bits of crumpets and cookies. This of course would only fatten them up and enliven them to voice even more opinions.

Option number 2 was to simply try to escape them by way of fantasy. I could pretend that they didn't exist and never had. I could enter the realm of fantasy by way of my imagination. I could dream away my present circumstances. I could be young, thin, rich, living in a different time, living with different people, and romantically sought after. What would that avail? My intruders would still be waiting for me when I awoke.

Option 3: I could get up and seek the Lord. I could then commune with the Living God of all power, wisdom, and glory. I could cast all my care upon Him and allow Him to undertake in every circumstance.

By the grace of God, I was empowered to take option number 3. Rising up, I spoke for a lingering time with the Lord. I poured forth all my stresses. Then I opened His Word to my devotional Psalm. There in verse 19 of Psalm 94 I read, "In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul."

It was then that the Divine exchange took place. I gave God every anxiety and took upon myself His delightful comforts. I even numbered them.
God will perfect that which concerns me.

God sees everything and nothing is hidden from His sight.

God is at work.

God loves me. I am His beloved, and He is mine.

Immanuel, God, is with me and will NEVER leave me nor forsake me.

God is good and does good!

God will deal with the evildoer, the reviler, the slanderer, gossip, the gainsayer, the complainer.

God does not condemn me. God is for me.

God will supply my every need according to His riches in glory.

God understands me.

God hears my prayer.

God delights to answer my prayer.
The comforts continued to abound and as they did they ushered my anxieties to the door and bid them leave, unfed and unattended.
