Good Saturday evening, I pray your day has been a fruitful one, that you smiled everywhere you went and that with my challenge this morning you made eye contact and got genuine smiles returned! I would love to hear any stories that you might have as you went out to share cheer to those who seem to have none!
I just read that a friends, brother in law passed this afternoon, so very sad and such a battle he fought, cancer is such a mean and nasty disease, I pray that this family feels the love of God all around them at this time and that they know he will hold and comfort them until they are ready to stand on their own again. Please pray with me for their peace, calm and comfort! I also ask you to pray with me for all of those who are struggling with illness and disease, for those suffering the wars of addiction, those who are battling depression and loss of faith. Please lift in prayer those hearts that are broken from the pain of loss for those who feel that it is a chore to just keep moving forward. Please keep my daughter and my unborn grand baby in your prayers that they will be healthy and strong. I get down many days and have to ask God for an extra does of "do" just to keep on going so please pray for me as well. I ask God to bless yo with his love, his strength and his mercy, in the name of Christ amen.
Interview with God...
Author Unknown
I dreamed I had an INTERVIEW WITH GOD.
"So, you would like to interview me?" GOD asked.
"If you have time," I said.
GOD smile. "My time is eternity... what questions do you have in mind for me?"
"What surprises you the most about humankind?"
GOD answered...
"That they get bored with childhood, that they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again."
"That they lose their health to make money... and then lose their money to restore their health."
"That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future."
"That they live as if they would never die, and die as though they had never lived."
GOD's hand took mine... and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked, "As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want your children to learn?"
GOD replied, "To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved."
"To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others."
"To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness."
"To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them."
"To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least."
"To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply do not yet know how to express or show their feelings."
"To learn that two people can look at the same thing, and see it differently."
"To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves."
"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.
"Is there anything else you would like your children to know?"
GOD smiled, and said... "Just know that I am here. Always."

"To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least."
I think this is my favorite part.
If I had a chance to interview God, I would ask him why he takes babies and children so soon. And, why he allows people to abuse children.
I would also ask him how to bring our grown children back to loving and believing in HIM.
Love you, Dawn..... Terry
