Good morning and happy Sunday! I pray this finds you happy this Sabbath morning, that you had a wonderful nights sleep and that you have risen with a spark of determination in your eye that this will be a great day, that you will not let drama in life get you down and that you will regroup and renew, fill your spiritual tank and move forward with faith and love, so that you can meet the new week with grace and with strength!
I meditated this morning for a very long time, I prayed my usual morning prayers asking God for strength to be given each of us as we chance upon events that could deter our faith, asking God for his shield of protection to be up and ready at all times for you and yours. I asked God to continue to be our great counselor, our great healer, our conscious, and in all things our drive to do well, to please him in all areas and to keep the sacrifice he made at the fore front of our actions and our attitudes. I asked God to use each of us this week as tools to help others find him, as examples of true Christianity, and as angels to those who need earthly hugs and love. As I was closing my prayer a story that I read the other day came across my heart and made me realize that we must never leave a prompting from the Holy Spirit unactivated. We must follow these promptings to the letter knowing that he has placed us in certain places for certain reasons and has given us assignment that only we can carry out! We must not question we must just "do" I pray that today will be a day that I will be called upon to be a messenger for him, to be a spark to ignite a spiritual flame, but most of all to be an example of goodness! I sit like an eager school child, praying under my breath..pick me!!! pick me!!! I would like to share this story with you and pray that it opens your eyes as it did mine, we all are angels here on earth, our faith is tested each day, not by our Father in heaven, he already knows our potencial...he designed it, our faith is tested by satan who thinks he can win each of us over by making us think that God is allowing bad things to happen in our lives! Back away from me dark one, I am following the light and I will not be diverted! God is good all of the time, we must keep this in mind always and when the storm gets to strong for us to weather we must use God's calm, comfort, and peace to bring us through it! Trust in his promises that through him all things are possible! In the name of Jesus Christ our savior I ask for mercy and grace this day for each of us. Amen.
You never know...in the strangest of places...not what you think...all different faces...will you recognize him?

It was a cold winter's day that Sunday. The parking lot to the church was filling up quickly. I noticed as I got out of my car that fellow church members were whispering among themselves as they walked to the church.
As I got closer I saw a man leaned up against the wall outside the church. He was almost laying down as if he was asleep. He had on a long trench coat that was almost in shreds and a hat topped his head, pulled down so you couldn't see his face.
He wore shoes that looked 30 years old, too small for his feet, with holes all over them, his toes stuck out. I assumed this man was homeless, and asleep, so I walked on by through the doors of the Church.
We all enjoy fellowship for a few minutes, and then someone brought up the man who was laying outside. People snickered and gossiped, but no one bothered to ask him to come in, including me. A few moments later church began. We all waited for the Preacher to take his place, and to give us The Word, when the doors to the church opened. In came the homeless man, walking down the aisle with his head down.
People gasped and whispered and made faces. He made his way down the aisle and up onto thepulpit. When he took off his hat and coat my heart sank. There stood our preacher... he was the "homeless man."
No one said a word... the room was silent and still.
Then the preacher took his Bible and laid it on the stand.
"Folks, I don't think I have to tell you what I'm preaching about today." Then he started singing the words to this song...
"If I can help somebody as I pass along,
If I can cheer somebody with a word or song,
If I can show somebody that he's traveling wrong,
Then my living shall not be in vain."
If I can cheer somebody with a word or song,
If I can show somebody that he's traveling wrong,
Then my living shall not be in vain."
