How do you want to be remembered?

Good morning and happy Friday! What a beautiful morning we have, the sky is a blue that only God could concoct, amazing....63 degrees and sunshine! I love, love, love this time of year:) Have you ever really sat and just let your mind wonder while looking toward heaven, sometimes I do and I promise you it has a way of calming anxiety, a way of giving hope when it is lacking and a way of knowing that God truly "IS" nothing else could be the explanation for this vast beauty, for the tranquility felt, and for the peace I come away with! God is soooooo good:)
This morning in prayer as I sat having my chat with God, I felt calm, peace filled, and comforted. I prayed my usual morning prayers and thanked him for my life, for my family, for my friends, and for the sacrifice he made so that I could be forgiven through repentance when I step off of the path. I then remembered a time when I gave a fireside chat to some 12 year old young ladies about being on the wrong side of the track...one of the girls asked me "how do you know when you are on the wrong side?" a very valid question, especially for this day and time here on earth...when there is news on a daily basis about ministers who themselves have fallen away, who are practicing in acts that are certainly not of God. When we look at the shape our country is in and we see so much misdeed, so much crime, so many  lies! I am sure our youth are confused as to right and wrong. I told this beautiful young lady, " if we do not follow our hearts, and follow the words of the bible, the tenants of the gospel, and God's direction, if we fall into the "hip" trap and forget what we have been taught, we allow satan to entice us to the other side. This young lady sat there in quiet thought and seemed to really begin to understand the rest of the chat, at least I thought she did. After the chat we were sitting by a fire and she asked if she could sit by me, of course she could. We began to quietly talk and she said that her family was not what they appeared to be in church on Sunday, she began to tell me the troubles that were taking place in the home and it broke my heart! I listened until she was ready for me to speak and as I listened I asked God to guide my words so that they might be reasonable to this child, that they might awaken the confusion and allow her to see what really is right and what is wrong! when she was ready for me to talk, I opened my heart and allowed the words that God needed me to say. She did go to sleep that night with a better understanding and in the morning when we were packing up to leave the overnight campout, she stood a little taller, she interacted a little more with the other girls and there was a glow in her eyes. She felt renewed and she understood! Now, years later, this young lady is a mother and a wife, she is very involved in her church and is on the "right side of the track" It thrills me to know that God spoke through me, the words that changed this little girls take on the world, on religion, and on life! I had a friend when I was in grade school that I was allowed to sleep over at her house from time to time, her family was "all that and a bag of chips" her mother was especially kind and I loved getting to be a part of their family if only for a night here and there! When I grew up I continued to look at this family as my inspiration! The mother of my friend touched my heart and I will forever be thankful for the kindness she showed me, even in my adult life she continued to be kind! On the day that I leave this world I too want to be remembered as a "kind" person, one that touched the life of someone else, if only it is one person that I touched then I have done God's will. I think many of us feel that we are but one person, we are insignificant in this huge world...but we are not, we are children of God and we are here for a purpose and a reason...If you can touch the heart of someone with kindness today...please do it, you never now when a person is in need of just what you can give to them..you never know when God has placed you in that persons path with the plan of you being the one who makes a difference! Ask God today to show you the direction you need to go, ask him to lead you in the path of someone in need of your gifts and your blessings! Be the one who later in life you will be remembered for what you do today:) May God bless each and every one of you with his kind and gentle love!
May this day be filled with an abundance of blessings and may your eyes be opened to the beauty around you...take time to stop and smell the flowers and know they were made just to please you! God is good, he is the beginning and the end and all that lies in between, allow him to be your guide and know that the right side of the tracks is where all the good stuff is:) I love you!!!

I need to do work internally to be a better example externally???

Good morning and happy, happy, Tuesday:) I first would like to thank those who took time to offer your heartfelt congrats about the news of me becoming a "Mimi" the wishes are so appreciated and really touched my heart:)
This morning in prayer as I sat in my quiet place, as my prayers for you and yours were coming to an end I then asked God if I could bend his ear for a moment longer as it was brought to my attention yesterday that I complain a lot, when it was put to me yesterday, my first instinct was to lash out but I did not...I let it absorb into my mind and I really sat and thought about the words. As they came from someone I respect whole heartedly I really thought about it...I then said to this certain someone, "well I do have a lot of aches and pains in my body!" trying to compensate for what I was hearing. Then this was put to me..." I know your body hurts and I know you have a lot of sickness in your body, you do not really complain about that. in that... that is not the issue !, You complain about life, about the way people "don't get it" about how others are living their lives etc...!" I had to absorb this even deeper as I had no idea I was doing this....I like to think that I am for the most part, upbeat, happy, patient, understanding, accepting...etc..., after I sat and pondered this issue, I see where I have much room for improvement! I "do" complain a lot, I do get so frustrated when people continue to do what they are doing and time and again fall down, when all they have to do is ask God to help them.! I felt embarrassed, I felt ashamed, and I felt sad! SO, today I have awakened with a new light bulb in the socket and am ready to stop complaining! I must realize that I  cannot change others... this is my first course of action, even if I can see that the road they are on is not a good road, I cannot change the direction they are going, All I can do is stick to my own direction and be a good example, if they chose not to turn around and get back on course I have to let them continue on, all I can do is pray for them! ( note to self, pray for them and leave them in God's hands) I feel sad in knowing that the person that brought this to light for me has had to endure my "complaining" much and I pray that I can be rid of this negative trait and allow a more positive me to be seen. Sometimes the truth hurts, but I am so thankful there is truth! My first response was to throw out an excuse for why I complain as I do....there is no excuse except for the fact that I think everyone should be on the same road and driving in the right direction...I am so very thankful that this comment was made to me, sometimes we all need a reality check, we all need to clean our  mirrors so that we can see our flaws more clearly! I love this person more today than I did yesterday for being honest with me!
I began this morning in prayer as I said, and then went to my scriptures and googled "leading by example" WOW, there are many, many, many bible verses regarding this subject! Much to many for me to post...I read through them and chose a few that really touched my heart! If you can, take time today to follow the link below and see if there is room in your life to apply some of them! EYE OPENER I say  to you...
1 Timothy 4:12...Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity....

1 Peter 5:3...Not domineering over those in charge, but being examples of the flock...

Galatians 6:1...brothers if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him  in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

I love each of you and pray that if a person come to you to point out a negative you are participating in, that you will recognize it as constructive and you will ponder the action and ask our Father in Heaven what you can do internally to be a better example externally! May this day be filled with answers to prayers, may you feel the love of God in all that you do, may your light shine brightly so that someone in the darkness may find their way! God is love, he is amazing and he is yours if only you allow it! Peace be with you!

Do you have examples of Christ in your life????

Good morning my friends! It is a lovely day in the neighborhood, 73 degree and a nice breeze. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and my heart is happy! God is so amazing, as I said goodbye to my sweet friend yesterday...I felt such a peace in my spirit, as her body lay there in wait of being picked up by the University hospital where she donated her body to science, I sat and spoke with her, knowing that she was no longer there in spirit, that she had taken the hand of the angels and already made her way home, I continued to sit and chatted with her! She loved the LA Lakers, she loved to sing with the Sweet Adelines, she loved to crack jokes and basically was always happy and filled with laughter! I teased her about not having made it to cut her hair as I had planned to do, and I teased her about removing all of the Laker memorabilia and replacing it with Jazz things! I knew that she was safe in the loving arms of God as I talked with her and it made my heart so very calm, I did not cry as all I could think was "she made it" she passed the test and has received her greatest blessing" she is in the arms of the angels now!
We live here on this earth to achieve the ultimate blessing, being able to live forever in heaven! I live my life each day mindful of the way that God wills me to live so that I can make that journey when it is my time! I worship our Father in Heaven, his son Jesus Christ and the holy spirit and look to them for guidance in all things! I know that I will make mistakes, I make them daily, but I also know that "mistaking" is learning, we must make bad choices to learn good ones, we must lay our hand upon the hot burner in order to learn not to do it again. Example is the best teacher there is, if we are led by example, make our mistakes, repent and know that God loves us...our heavenly home will be there for us! I have so many good examples of Christ in my life and I thank each and every one of them this morning. I pray for their strength and perseverance each day that they will continue to be earthly guides for each of us....this morning I thank specifically three men that honestly are Christian heros to me! Johnny, Gerald, and Alan...May God continue to bless you for the great work you are doing for him here, may he continue to fill your hearts with the words to say when you see need! May he continue to touch you and your family with love, joy and happiness and most of all may many lives be affected by you, may they find Christ with guidance from you and may his strength, love, compassion, mercy and grace remain in your daily make up! Love to the three of you in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ..amen and amen again!
I pray that each of you has a living example that you can turn to, I pray that when God places a special spirit in your life that you will allow them in and allow them to minister to you the words that our Father in Heaven so needs you to hear! God is amazing and will never let you down:) Have a beautiful day my beautiful friends, know that love is the way, so if you would... share yours today:)
